Amazing! Met with very friendly and personal welcome. Room was extremely comfortable with an immaculate bathroom and lovely views of the garden. Absolutely lovely experience thanks to exceptionally helpful manager and staff, great food and service. Despite being busy with two day's of weddings, nothing was too much trouble and questions were always met with a smile and lots of help from whichever member of the team it happened to be. It was a remarkable and very enjoyable experience and quite unlike any other hotel I've ever stayed in around the world. Ideally located for Battle, Hastings and beyond amid Sussex's glorious countryside. Highly recommend it and will definitely return.

we stayed in one of the suites on 3rd floor, great room`s, great sea view, can not fault anything, staff very friendly & helpfull, good value for money. buffet breakfast was really good, chef who made the omelettes, fried, poached eggs etc was friendly made you feel at ease & was cracking jokes as well as the eggs. will defo be staying here again.
I knew the hotel from 20 years ago. It was still wonderful. The staff were fantastic. A Scottish lady served us at the bar, she was attentive, welcoming, funny and just what we needed. The room was gorgeous, the sloping floors, the fires, the wooden panelling all stunning. Just marvelous!

This was a wonderful experience. Attentive and friendly staff. Amazing food and service. A genuine Grand ambience from another era long gone. Just one problem - our room turned out to be very noisy. But we phoned down to reception and were moved to another room almost instantly. It is often that one can only really judge a hotel by the action taken when something is not quite right. This could not be faulted. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay nowhere else when we return to Brighton. Absolutely brilliant!
Our stay was exactly what we wanted, quiet, peaceful, lovely friendly staff and fantastic food. The room was clean and very comfortable.
We loved it there so much it convinced us too hold our wedding there next year!!
