“great budget accom”
Definitely budget hotel but clean, helpful staff and great location. Would be very noisy over weekend as located in main club area but was ok early in the week. Did not book room with breakfast as so close to The Lanes.
“Ok for a cheap weekend!”
Hotel staff all very polite & helpful. Nothing wrong with main hotel areas but our room was a bit tatty & could do with a refurbish, the same applies to the en suite. Location is very good for nighlife, the sea front & shopping, Car parking is expensive though.
“Great place!!!!”
We enjoyed stay there. Great location and perfect breakfast!
“Overnight theatre break”
Good location right on seafront. NO parking. NCP 5 mins away. Lovely large room overlooking sea. VERY NOISY all night being in clubland, so bear this in mind. Good staff and breakfast.
“Worst hotel breakfast”
don't stay at this hotel if you think you are going to have an edible breakfast (unless you want to have cereal as these are boxed so are safe from the hands of the caterers.)The 'hot' buffet breakfast was poor quality, cold and in most cases unavailable - I had to go up for a sausage, wait ten minutes for the bacon and then go back 5 mins later for the beans, and somehow the hot water for the tea came out with steam but was lukewarm. The mushrooms were freezing and rock hard.
“Not quite the Hilton!”
The hotel was fine - I was particularly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionists, especially in suggesting an alternative and cheaper car park. My single room was rather small, but that's what I've come to expect for singles; nevertheless, it was clean and had everything I needed. Its main drawback was that it overlooked a side street which seemed to be rather busy and noisy with traffic at about 6am, for some reason, and, since I had the window open for fresh air, this disturbed my rest more than it might have done otherwise. The bar looked a little too modern, minimalist and soulless for my taste, as did the restaurant, so I avoided those and headed for The Globe, a delightful little pub just around the corner - it has a cinema downstairs with free films showing on Tuesday evenings! Real ale and friendly staff. Back to the hotel - I can't really complain at the price for a fairly well-situated place to stay. One other drawback - it only has one (tiny) lift, so queues can form if you need to use it to get your luggage up to your room; I suggest using the stairs if you can.
“Seaside view but very expensive for the size of room I got”
Rates from Thursday to Saturday for a double room could be up to three or four times that one one on Sunday. Well located but it does't worth the money if you are coming on weekend
“Excellent Hotel, Recommended!”
