Three days by the beach

Posted 02-Feb-2015
Pros: They serve a very good full English breakfast, and everyone was pleasant and accommodating. They let you do your own thing and never got in the way.
Cons: room heater didn't work. The bathroom one did, but not the main room. Didn't complain though but I am sure they would have fixed it.
Location: The pier was under construction but open. Chippy's on the pier/ best fish and chips in East Bourne. Drank and ate at the Buccaneer. walked a lot.
After being in London for four days, I wanted a quiet seaside town to relax in. I found East Bourne on the internet and after all my friends knew nothing about it, I thought it would be great. I am sure in the summer months it is roaring, but now in January, it was relatively quiet. It was exactly what I was looking for, but quite boring. I found the Sheldon on the internet at a very reasonable price and booked it. I wasn't expecting much, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was quite nice and had hot water whenever I needed it. The owners where pleasant, although I never really spoke with them. They kind of stayed out of the way but there if you needed something, like a charger adapter. The town says "the sunny place in England", and I would have to say that at least the days I was there, it was sunny and relatively warm, reaching about 50 degrees every day.

Very convenient for the Theatre

Posted 31-Dec-2014
Pros: The rooms have been refurb he'd to a high standard. The beds are particularly comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: A very convenient place to stay.
We enjoyed another very comfortable stay at the Sheldon. It is very difficult to fault this hotel. It is a short walk to the sea and to the theatres and the hotel boasts a super car park.

ビーチに近い、こじんまりしたホテル

小さなホテルで、綺麗な部屋でしたが、テレビの操作が複雑で、結局見ることができませんでした。駐車場があり、便利でした。

Okish for £30

The breakfast was outstanding excellent choice. The parking however was horrendous and due to this I won't be staying again. Really spoilt the stay. The room was average and the shower was poor.

Pleasant hotel close to the beach

Posted 07-Nov-2014
Pros: welcoming staff, warm and homely feel and nice and clean....what more can one ask for.
Location: Great location ...many places of interest are a stone's throw away. Plus I liked the shops.
This was the perfect place to get away from the "hussle and bussle" of London living for a few days and to be close to the sea. Initially I had booked for two nights but I decided to extend for an additional night due to it being off peak season and "the price was right." I was pleasantly surprised that there was and is much to see in Eastbourne. I loved Beachy Head & South Downs National park & enjoyed my time at the Pavilion. I ate at several restaurants .....they all served delicious, well cooked fishmeals. I was very pleased that the room was very warm and cosey. I slept well. However I found the water temperature from the shower too hot and it was difficult to get the dial to the ideal temperature. Apart from that I would go again and recommend family and friends.

Good Location - close to Bandstand and Restaurants

Posted 04-Nov-2014
Pros: In a quite pleasant street just off the main road.
Cons: We arrived before check in time at 3 p.m. and the door was shut - we didn't realise we could have knocked and dropped our bags off!
Location: Perfect location as close to the Bandstand, Shops and Restaurants which is what we wanted.
We liked the hotel very much - room was lovely and spacious and very clean.
