Whilst the "shabby chic" luxury rooms all feature walk-in showers, curvaceous Italian sinks and silk headboards, our newly refurbished spacious superior rooms all feature spa baths and showers, unique oriental wardrobes, silk curtains and headboards plus chaise longues or the large L shaped sofa in the suite that converts to an additional kingsize bed if required.

“Recommended”

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely helpful, obliging & cheerful staff. Room was very good, extremely comfortable bed, and the entrie premises is very dog friendly, which was crucial for us. Less than a minute stroll to the seafront, I recommend the Regency restaurant on the seafront for excellent fresh seafood, only a 2 minute walk from the Oriental. On the down side,the funky hotel cocktail bar wasnt open at all during our stay which was disappointing. There is a lovely pub around the corner called the Lion & Lobster, charming in every way, and with great food, but totally ruined by the thumping R&B music played in the bar at monumental volume....to suit the staff rather than the paying customers. If the Hotel bar had been open we could have escaped that noise. all in all though, very good value for money and recommended

“Lovely restful break”

Lovely relaxing break, a short walk from the Lanes, seafront and shops. Tasty organic breakfast and comfy beds.

“Das etwas andere Hotel”

Wir waren zwar nur 1 Nacht dort, könnten uns aber einen längeren Aufenthalt dort gut vorstellen (wenn Brighton es hergäbe). Hotel liebt in einer Querstraße zur Straße am Pier, ruhig, ca. 10 -12 min. zum Clocktower, ebenso lang zum Brighton Pier. Extrem nettes freundliches Personal, orientalisch angehaucht eingerichtetes (etwas kleines, aber ok) Zimmer, mit viel Liebe zum Detail (Wasserkocher zum Zubereiten von biologisch angebautem/Fair Trade Tee und Kaffee verschiedenster Art, die man im Binsenkörbchen findet), wohlriechende Seifen, echte Blumen am Waschbecken, Wasserflasche mit Gläsern, riesige Dusche (war wohl früher dort die Badewanne), sehr sauber, kein schmuddeliger Teppischboden, sondern Parkett. Matratze 1 a. Fön (und Heizlüfter für die kälteren Tage) am Zimmer Frühstück (in der "Lobby" einzunehmen) ist reichlich und mit viel Auswahl- und Kombinationsmöglichkeiten, frische Früchte, Joghurt, Säfte, Müsli, typisch englisch, Toast, Croissants, alles bio. Vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen.

“Das Oriental Guest House liegt 10 Minuten Fußweg vom Zentrum.”

Ich würde jederzeit wieder ins Oriental Guest House einchecken. Die Zimmer sind im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Hotels in Brighton modern und sehr sauber. Es ist ein kleines und überschaubares Hotel mit sieben Zimmern. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, allerdings dauert es morgens beim Frühstück sehr lange, da das Essen frisch zubereitet wird. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr lecker.

Area recommendations
Ich würde eine Wanderung auf den Kalkfelsen Seven Sisters empfehlen, da der Ausblick grandios ist. Das Gleiche gilt für eine Wanderung durch die Teufelsschlucht in der Nähe von Brighton. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und lädt zum spazieren gehen ein.
