“Great hotel.”

The hotel is a little tired around the edges in the odd place but that is the only thing negative I have to say. The staff were very good, the room was very nice with a fantastic view and it's in an amazing location. Also the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever seen, what a selection. Overall it was a great weekend, great value and I would highly recommend it.

“Excellent!”

Stayed here many times- the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in, in a hotel. 2 really lovely plump pillows as standard. Lovely powerful shower, excellent seafront location.

“Good”

People were very helpful. Room was in front. Ocean was wild and windy. Really good location, right on the main street. They charged for parking.

“Lovely stay”

We had a great stay at The Barcelo Old Ship in Brighton and would highly recommend it. Lovely, friendly staff, great room with lovely touches, big TV and a really comfortable bed. We had a brilliant nights sleep followed by a delicious breakfast. Brilliant location.

“Not to shabby”

Nice older hotel but the parking sucks if you are not able to park at the hotels parking garage. Parking in the surrounding garages are about £25 for 24 hrs. Also the hotel is pretty much surrounded by pubs so expect the night life of Brighton to keep you up if your not a night owl.

“A bit noisy but didn't put us off .”

A lovely hotel would defiantly stay there again but would like a room a lot higher than the first floor as the night life noise did cause disturbance to our sleep .

“Good welcoming hotel.”

Wonderful staff, Very good breakfast, most comfortable beds and lovely big soft towels. In a good spot if you ask for a quiet room not above the wine bar / car park. The Old Ship is a lovely welcoming hotel but could do with a bit of redec.

“inexpensive sea front hotel”

What do you expect? We paid an inexpensive rate for an hotel on the front at Brighton. Cheerful staff, clean, good sized room and management coping with an ageing building. If you want to whinge, go next door-pay double and you will probably still whinge.

“old ship hotel brighton”

Great Location, got great deal - excellent value. Breakfast superb. Only warning - take ear plugs - club emptying time is horrendous !!

“Good location for stag do”

I was in Brighton for my sons stag do and found the location was perfect for easy access to the pubs, clubs and restaurants. Reception very helpful and although policy for car parking is that it can't be reserved, they did reserve a place for me as I had a bad knee and did not want to drag my suitcases from the car park across the road. Hotel is old fashioned but my room was large with comfortable bed. Breakfast offered good choice and cooked breakfast not bad for a large hotel.
