Claustrophobic

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: Seafront location is good, hotel was reasonably clean and my interaction with reception and restaurant staff was stress-free
Cons: My chief gripe about the room size is perhaps something that cannot be altered. Breakfast was an efficient process but the dining area was too hot.
Location: Walk on the seafront promenade, nearby hotels with night club and party facilities ; short walk to the town centre and train station ; many eateries
Booked a single room and was housed in the smallest hotel room ever, probably slightly larger than a train compartment. The shower and toilet were also minute. As it was a hot night, use of the balcony would have been welcomed but the balcony and 2 chairs there on were dirty and dusty. Ah well, perhaps another day .....

Terrible

Though the rooms were ok, workers were extremely rude. It looked like they wanted to charge you for everything. I didn't like it at all and not going there ever again.

Good Weekend Hotel

Posted 24-Sep-2014 on Hotels
Very nice, quiet (end of season) hotel. very clean and well decorated. No gimmicks, razz ma tazz, or sparkle, but a very comfortable stay. Bathrooms small but they are in a hundred year old property that has been converted very well. Sea view rooms as good or better than anywhere else. Small staff personally managed by owner. Very polite and helpful. Traditional cooked English breakfast well cooked and quickly served. Not a wide other choice of breakfast. More like a Private Hotel B&B. We would stay there again. For us, it was good value.

To many Stairs

I chose this hotel because I could park out side only to find on arrival that there was no parking because of the air day. Not told. The room I had was very small and shower cubical so small you could hardly move. Bed very hard and not very comfortable. Not impressed with the place considering the cost of the room.
