Perefect location

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: Location
Ideally situated just a minute's walk from the High Street but with it's own car park the Rye Lodge provides an excellent option for a visit to this small town. The rooms vary in size and facilities but there is a warm family atmosphere about the place.

Very comfortable hotel in a good location at Rye

Posted 14-Feb-2015
Pros: The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the Venetian Spa and sauna. The hotel was very friendly.
Cons: The water in the pool and spa bath was rather cold.
Location: Rye is an interesting historical town with lots to see.It has many good cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed a good meal in The Gandhi Tandoori.
We had a very enjoyable 2 day break in this hotel. Rye is a lovely town and this hotel is an excellent place to stay..

Nice hotel but a bit tired

Posted 09-Jan-2015
The staff were lovely and couldn't do more for you; the hotel is really pretty and you can see it used to be quite grand but it is a bit tired and needs some TLC (the cold tap didn't work on the sink and the windows need replacing) however it's in a fantastic location and has free parking - it's cheaper than other options so don't rule it out

Beautiful hotel in perfect location

Posted 10-Oct-2014
The hotel is in a very central location to Rye with the train station a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are clean and well kept with a charming character. Was a little disappointed that our room didn't have a bath and was replaced with a cramped shower. A little pricey for what you get.

Hotel Rye Lodge in Rye

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing very much not exceptional in any way
Cons: Clean off the mold in the shower tiles and provide a proper shower screen
Location: This was a business trip. I ate in the George Hotel and found it to be very good. I would consider staying there as well if I ever go that way again
The room was cramped and unbearably even with the window wide open. The shower even more cramped with a shower curtain that wrapped around you and the dreaded black mold on the tiles.

Great location

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: It's location within Rye
Cons: The rooms are very tired but understand they are in the process of being refurbish .
Location: Overlooking the salt marsh and ideal for exploring Rye, which is well worth a visit.
The hotel was in a very good location, although the car park could be bigger. Rooms were OK but not luxurious , as described in the brochure. Staff on the whole were friendly and helpful.

A charming, quirky hotel.

Posted 30-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed there for a long weekend for a family wedding. A very charming, quirky hotel with lovely, friendly staff. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and situated in a great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family holiday or romantic getaway.
