“Great place”
after the Royal Albion last year (just don't go anywhere near it it's the Fawlty Towers of Brighton) it was lovely to come across the stylish, modern and high quality atmosphere of the New Steine. Breakfasts are great in the Bistro (open to the public for dinner) and the staff warm and attentive. Room was largely newly refurbed and only slight downside was the small bathroom with a sort of '70's look.
“great modern hotel close to everything”
the hotel was fantasic very modern good breakfast. Close to toursit attractions. Great toilitries.
“Good place to stay”
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We asked to change our room (nothing wrong with the room we were given, but we were hoping to get a better view from the window), and this was done immediately without any fuss. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would be happy to go back.
“Would definitely recommend”
Great quality hotel, lovely friendly staff, clean with modern furnishings, lovely room with views of sea. Super breakfast room and great cooked breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend.
“Ok but not perfect”
We went to Brighton for one night as it was my husband's birthday and as a surprise I had arranged with the guest house to have a bottle of champagne waiting in the room for when we checked in. Unfortunately it was not in the room when we arrived which put a dampner on the arrival sadly. However the staff were lovely and the breakfast very tasty. The room was good apart from the radiator not working. Not a problem in the summer but middle of February not ideal.
“great locale”
The room I stayed in was quite small, but neat and clean. The location is great--easy to get to lots of fun places in central Brighton. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs that did a good business, but was not so loud that it disturbed me even right above it (I ate elsewhere, so can't review the restaurant). All the employees I came in contact with were very friendly and personable. A nice experience overall.
“Nice little place to stay”
I found the hotel to be clean, neat and with everything in order. The hotel staff were very friendly and eager to please and helped me with the parking permits they were offering at a discounted price of £5 per day (excellent pricing for a parking day in Brighton I can tell you!). The breakfast was also very tasty and filling. Great location, wasn't too noisy at night, my only complaint would be that my partner and I were put in a basement room, not so bad in itself but I couldn't open the window to get any air in (we stayed end of july so it was a bit hot in there!) I didn't complain or ask anyone about it as we were only in there for a short time...maybe I was a bit daft and was trying to open it wrong but it felt sealed shut to me! Apart from that, great stay and I would go back again.
“Friendly service in Brighton”
The staff was really friendly and that helped make for a lovely stay. The website indicated WIFI would be available, but we were unable to get any connection on our iPhones. The room was in the basement so not ideal, but the size was fine. Breakfast was great! Before booking we had checked to make sure the hotel was near the water. It was, which was great, but we forgot to check how far it was from the train station. It's about a 20 minute walk, which is not necessarily bad--just something to be aware of.
“悪くないかな”
イギリスのホテルならこんなもんかと。ベッドのみでシャワートイレは共同でしたが、部屋は明るいし、窓を開けたら少し海が見えました。ロケーションもまあまあ便利なところでいいと思います。夜は静かでした。 朝食込みで申し込んだのですが、ホールをスタッフの方が一人でまわしているのか、なかなかオーダーを取りに来てくれなくて、待たされました。味はまあまあでボリュームはありました。
