The hotel was conveniently located for for the beach and town centre. 20 mins walk from the station and has a car park with ample spaces. It was a bit tired, one lift was out of order which was a pain so ended up waiting ages for the lift. Rooms were very much like a premier inn, but clean and enough space. Beds were comfy. Staff were nice and accomodated an early check in.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here to Brighton for our anniversary. Let down is an understatement. upon arrival the lady on reception was lovely. However when it come to the room, it had an awful smell to it, the windows were so dirty you couldn’t even see the sea though it. We could hear slamming of doors all night, a smell of people smoking marijuana though the vents and it was just not a good place to stay as far as we are concerned. We rang through in the morning to order room service as the lady on reception told us we can order to our rooms via the telephone in the room, however we were then told you had to pre order only and they were not bringing room service to us despite paying for the tray charge. No water was provided, only one glass bottle that we had to ask for ourselves and overall this wasn’t what we expected nor wanted. Communication was so poor from staff to customers and just seemed unorganised. We will not be returning and very disappointed.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and I cannot praise the staff enough. Within one hour of arriving, my 13 year old son got horribly sick (food poisoning - NOT from the hotel!) and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Very impressed with the level of service and would unhesitatingly stay here again.

The bartender was nice and the breakfast but that's all. Good veg options. I had 5 serious issues that I've now cancelled my stay for next week and won't use this again. This is 1 of 4 hotels I've recently stayed at for work purposes in the area and the worst. Not business appropriate. I was told by the receptionist that WiFi doesn't work on laptops, eventually got it to work, my video call for work then immediately cut off due to poor WiFi in the lobby. Waited until past 4pm to check in. No door in the lobby, broken, construction site to get it fixed, was freezing cold windy rainy. I'm fairly senior in my role and company but was in casual attire working remotely due to rail strike I had arrived earlier but had to go into the office after check in. The room is old and outdated needing DIY. I had only booked the hotel for dinner included to be told it's not included but I know it's a technical issue error it's supposed to be included for free for the highest rate I selected. So dinner was denied and I spent too much money on dinner elsewhere instead. Customer service and Expedia was especially useless which is usually good but wouldn't listen even with screenshots. That I wasn't able to book it in the app only from the laptop this time so my next week booking has free dinner but I cancelled it as this week booking dinner included wasn't showing up on the booking despite specifically picking the highest rate and only booking this hotel to get half board. Disaster.

Great stay
Hotel receptionist was warm and friendly helped with everything we needed. Room was okay spacious the window was broken at the top so there was a slight gap but nothing major. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient. However we had a terrible night due to incredibly noisy guests next door that we had flagged up as a concern earlier in the evening. Need a better system to ensure children/families are not located next to a group of men.

Terrible, had a premium room . Decor very shabby. No television service, reported it twice but nothing done. Paid for breakfast when booking but they tried to charge us for breakfast again. Would definitely not stay there again.

The size of the room was big than I thought and the bed was very comfortable. The food was great too, the breakfast was outstanding I had half board for just a little more. When I got dinner free for two when you I booked breakfast stay. You get a £25 voucher for dinner for each person. For that you can have a three course pub meal it was delicious.

Poorly maintained tatty hotel
This hotel has definitely seen better days. The lift to the car park not working, apparently out of service for at least 3 months. Main lifts creak and the doors stick. Mobile radiator in room for heat, constantly dripping taps in bathroom. On the plus side, it’s on the seafront. Operated by Kew Green hotels - IHG should be embarrassed by the standard of the hotel.

Very impressed
From the moment we arrived we were very impressed. Right on the seafront and with parking, something quite difficult to find in Brighton! We were greeted by the reception staff, the helpful and friendly Seren took care of our reservation and we were ready to head up. The open lobby looked inviting, leading to a cafe on one side and the restaurant and bar on the other. This leads out onto a patio facing the sea which I'm sure would be great in the Summer. The corridor looked a little worn, but the room itself was perfect for what we wanted. A large room, with a balcony overlooking the sea with a huge bathroom and nice lounge area with sofa and minifridge. The toiletries were lovely and plentiful. The bed, a king-size had a thick duvet and choice of pillows. Very little noise penetrated from outside and after a good night we were able to use the coffee maker and have a drink out on the balcony. The breakfast buffet was excellent, again great service from the staff and every possible choice you could need including gluten free. Cannot fault the hotel at all and a great location within 5 minutes of the beach, the cinema and ten minutes from all the Brighton shops and attractions. Highly recommended and great value for money.

The hotel tried to use misleading / false doscription to attact customers for booking while they have lots of faulty facility. They stated that there will be side sea view but no sea view at all from the actual room. Never again and must avoid this hotel in the future!

Worst hotel I've stayed at!
I booked 2 rooms for a 2 night stay for my colleague and myself and I was disgusted with how thin the walls were, I was kept away both nights of my stay as was my colleague. We were on separate floors so it wasn't just a case of being unlucky. I tried calling the concierge 4 or 5 times from 2am to 5am with no answer. No parking if you arrive after 1pm if you do find a space go buy a lottery ticket. I wasn't the only one who complained, two others were complaining when I was checking out, prepare yourself if you have no other options and have to stay here.

We have staid here several times. Staff lovely and it’s very convenient to the sea front. However, although we treated ourselves to a premium room it didn’t feel very premium. Place a little tired and dated. There have been some changes but facilities need improving. It was convenient and close to friends in Hove. The property could do with a little updating, but all the important things were absolutely fine (bed, shower etc)

The location was great and staff at reception were nice... but the room was quite run down and windows and some of the walls were dirty...

Shocking £25 parking charge for parking at hotel
We stayed for a Uni visit. We paid £167 room only. We then added breakfast which was £12 each. We chose this hotel as it had parking but was shocked to find out they charged £25 for the night to park your car. I think this is discussing considering what we already had paid. Hotel is tired. Bathroom tiny and had dirty grout in the shower. I won’t be going back to this hotel. Breakfast was nice though
