Good location but...

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Pros: central location
Cons: there should be a clear indication that there is no air conditioning at the time of booking
Location: near the sea
i recently stayed in Hilton Brighton and I stayed at the hotel during the hottest time of this summer and the air conditioning didn't work. When we reported, they admitted nothing can be done as this is an "old building". However there was no warning at the time of booking that there is no air conditioning. Also the fridge was dysfunctional, the hotel staff said they will look at it in a few minutes but no-one showed up to help.

2 night weekend stay

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: service, friendly staff, comfortable large double room. spa treatment, also swimming pool.
Cons: room to be cooler and not warm in summertime. would of liked room fridge to be working , even if mini bar empty.
Location: as usual perfect location on sea front
had 2 nights, myself wife. unfortunately checked in late in evening and room was extremely warm and bit uncomfortable. no air-con, was told not working and then told none of double rooms have air-con. was offered replacement but different room was still not cool on viewing. decided to stay in same room, had 2 fans. hassle moving rooms! despite an uncomfortable couple of hours early on 1st morning even with windows open with heat. we had an enjoyable 2 night stay, have been before many times. very nice kind touch was given breakfast complimentary. breakfast I thought was fantastic, tasty great choice, my wife also had a spa session on last day was very impressed too. we will return in future.

Poor quality for 4 stars Hilton Hotel

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Disappointed, the service was poor, staff were not so friendly, facilities in the room were very basic and not functioning well. The only good part was the gym and the indoor pool

Fab nights break

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Lovely hotel with very friendly, welcoming staff. The only thing that let this down was our bed made a lot of noise every time you moved. Breakfast was delicious a huge choice. Will definitely come back again.

Doesn't live up to the Hilton name

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: The lobby is nicely decked out, and the hotel is right on the seafront. That's about it.
Cons: Check in should be faster, rooms should all be updated and have aircon, carpark should be massively reduced for guests
Location: It Brighton. Its basically where the young londoners like to go for a jolly. Which means there's a lot of drinking places around.
While this isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, it was one of the worse experiences. Check-in was terribly slow, my friend and I were offered no assistance to our rooms and the car-park (which is not well signed from the main hotel entrance) is an extra charge despite the massively overpriced room rates. As for the rooms themselves, they were only just about serviceable. Its clear they haven't been renovated in some time. The bathroom in particular was looking very tired, and the toilet was barely useable because of the lack of space. Our rooms faced inwards towards the service area etc, so no sea view for us. Oh, and there was no air conditioning. In the middle of July. That was less than ideal.

Relaxing day off in Brighton

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Nice location and really comfortable bed (I had an executive king at the 4th floor with see view...)
- Staff not really welcoming at check-in. They didn't explain me anything about the hotels facilities. - Wifi on payment in the room. In a country where you can find free Wi-Fi everywhere, having to pay for this is really annoying.

Excellent location

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Most things
Cons: The ala carte was not that good needs improving, don't state sea view as not all rooms don't have it which disappointing.
Location: Shops , bars , beach all in excellent location.
Enjoyable stay, good hotel & location, would stay again

Great location by seafront

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Modern bathrooms, spacious rooms
Cons: One of the lifts was broken when we were there.
Location: Right by seafront, 10-15 minutes walk from station.
Rooms are large and beds comfortable - bathroom was modern. Location opposite the seafront is great - try to get a room overlooking the sea, otherwise you will be overlooking an NCP car park like we were. Overall a good hotel though.

Complained and was offered a better room for second night.
