Excellent position for Brighton Centre

Posted 17-Dec-2014
Pros: The position was ideal and staff couldn't have been nicer.
Cons: Room temperature more controllable. Definitely decoration needs to be improved in the room I stayed in.
Check in very smooth. Larger room than expected as put in a family room. Room temperature saying 18 degrees but definitely far hitter than that which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep in. Nails in wall where I assume pictures should hang but nothing there. All in all gave a run down appearance which is definitely not the usual high standard I'd expect of a Hilton.

Good position

Posted 05-Dec-2014
Pros: Good facilities
Cons: Redecoration of rooms
Location: Close to the beach and shopping centre
The hotel and its facilities were good but the room itself needed serious updating and it smelled like someone had been smoking in the room - not very nice if you are a non-smoker! Toilet was cracked and in a separate room to the bath and sink. The room was a good size despite its need of updating.

Not a midwife in sight!

Once again hove crown court came a calling. My solicitor and me once again booked into this excellent hotel. This time had a all room I'm the rafters as last time I was upgraded! Still good old fashioned standards Good choice at breakfast but felt bacon may have been recycled? Recommend

Last minute break in Brighton.

Posted 02-Dec-2014
Pros: Location and comfortable bed.
Cons: The general fabric of the hotel, whilst clean, needs updating.
Location: Right on the sea front with Brighton's attractions only a few minutes' walk away.
A last minute booking for a birthday break in Brighton. The hotel is like many Hiltons I've stayed in - perfectly clean, comfy bed but generally 'tired'. In conclusion, at the right price, it's absolutely fine. Great location right on the sea front.

Very basic hotel

Posted 30-Nov-2014
I arrived at 6pm to be told my room wasn't prepared so I was offered a small upgrade. They made me pay for this which I thought was cheeky. My room had no cold water, only hot. When I tried to buy some water, they wanted to charge £5.40 per litre of water which I also thought was unfair as I could not get cold water from the taps. This hotel looks great from the outside but very disappointed. It was more like a budget hotel.

OK hotel

Posted 22-Nov-2014
Breakfast cost extra (£16.50 I think it was). Internet access an additional £15 for 24 hours. Really not what you expect when already paying over £100 per night mid week off season. Other than that the hotel is ok.

Convenient for central Brighton

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Convenience. The staff were good.
Cons: A bit faded.
Location: Suited us we went to the theatre and Dome during our stay - only a short walk away.
The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early. The room was a bit hot even with the windows open.

Hotel review

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: Dramatic dining room with beautiful chandeliers and sea view. Great hot and cold buffet breakfast with helpful and polite staff.
Cons: The view from the rooms at the rear of the building could be enhanced with the possibility of a garden or plants/trees to glance over.
Location: Brighton is a great place with a thriving social scene, concerts, markets, beach, SeaWorld, live music, an interesting pier and nice friendly people.
Have stayed at this hotel before and found it to be pleasant. Unfortunately this time we were given a room which had a view of brick walls and unfinished roofs, quite a contrast from the coastal sea views enjoyed last time. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed, but the bathroom (in contrast) was not as good as it should have been, with badly finished plaster work and moth marks on the wall. The seal around the base of the toilet seat was not finished. The shower control was not operable, so we had either scorching or cold water. The water from the sink was warm to hot, so not very pleasant to brush teeth. No bottles of drinking water were provided. Very disappointing this time.

Nice hotel close to the beach and amenities etc

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness.
Cons: Staffing in restaurant
Location: Almost perfect, wheel, sealife, pier, shops, Brighton centre all within walking distance!!
It was a lovely hotel, expensive parking, comfortable room evening meal was a let down though. So many staff, so little custom yet took so long and got very little service for the money, quite off putting when they stand around and watch you, then offer extra bread to others but not you, one smelt quite bad too!!
