“Great location, great staff, amazing building but can be a bit pricey. Will go back!”
We stayed for 2 nights and weren't disappointed! Hotel is magnificant - don't use the lifts, walk on the amazing marble staircases! An old and amazing building, loved it! Our double room was a good size but fairly basic, which was fine. We benefitted from a flat screen TV. Furntiture pretty dated, as was bathroom but all worked fine. Gym & pool were excellent! Car parking steep - you pay for a 24hr period, but they did extend it free for us so we could spend the whole final day there. I would advise to prebook breakfast the day before, saved us £7pp. Breakfast itself was well worth the money! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is positioned opposite the old pier remains on the sea front and only 5 mins walk into town. Perfect location - away from noise/drunks of the clubs but an easy walk into town/beach/Lanes. We would def go back there but only at a similar discounted rate as we had this trip.
“Tired”
The room was overlooking something horrible. The windows were filthy the window sills had pigeon poo all over them. The rooms were not great tired and like a old B&B. Location excellant and convience of car parking. Breakfast great.
“Not Impressed”
The rooms have not been updated and are very outdated and service needs to be improved.
“Super Fun Time in Brighton stay here!!”
We had an excellent stay in this hotel..... would definitely return . Thank you
“Solo pamper break”
I went on a 3 day break as I wanted to recoup at a hotel with spa facilities and at the seaside. The break was great the staff were overal friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi was on a 6 minute timer which was good in a way so everyone gets a chance to use it but very small so only 4 people can use at a time. I would avoid going swimming on a Friday morning as there is a mother and baby class so you have to use the deep end. I had room service as a bit intimidating as a solo diner in the windsor restaurant and lounge bar as they were very busy in the evening. I had a great aromatic full massage and pedicure but a bit disappointed with the colour range as didn't have metallic colours. I believe single sex sauna were advertised but I didn't see these at the time so worth asking if you want this. The mixed grill was fab but the spagetti arrabiata was bland so don't go for this. Would definetly recommend.
“Resting on it's laurels”
The Hilton name led me to have high expectations for our stay in the Hilton Brighton Metropole and in part, they were fulfilled. The splendour of the entry way, the corridors and stairwells was impressive, the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had and the staff were in general very happy to help. However the rooms themselves were disappointing. We booked 3 rooms and had other friends staying in the same hotel for a local wedding, the difference in the quality of the 5 rooms I saw was huge, the decor was generally dated throughout the 3 rooms we had, and the TVs old. One bathroom was large, with a separate shower cubicle and bath, whereas the other 2 had old fashioned and cheap looking tap connected showers. The room sizes also varied massively from room to room Our friends who arranged their own booking were lucky enough to receive a refurbished room with modern decor, a flatscreen TV and nice bathroom, at the same standard room as we'd purchased. If only we'd also been as lucky! This still wasn't to the standard I was expecting, or have seen in other similar hotels elsewhere. In general, fantastic building, great staff and amazing breakfast, but the rooms are at best functional, not the opulence I was expecting from a Hilton hotel considering the location and price.
“Ideal short-stay”
Hilton Metropole is in an ideal position on Brighton seafront - close to many restaurants and in easy walking distance of Brighton's attractions. Our room, a deluxe plus, was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast range was suitable for all tastes. It helps that parking is available just behind the hotel. Bar prices are high - but no different to other hotels in that area.
“One of Brighton's Best”
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was elegant and the rooms comfortable and warm, had everything you needed and the biggest bed I have ever seen. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choice. The Bar Lounge was also very comfortable on facing the sea. There is also a car park, a big bonus in Brighton, and at £16 was cheaper than we have previously paid . Would definitely stay there again.
“good service, uncomfortable beds”
Excellent location in heart of sea front in Brighton. Good services from friendly staff. I found the beds however, were very uncomfortable, despite swapping mattresses once. In our opinion, the rooms were large and clean but a little shabby. Overall, reasonable but let down by beds - what a shame!
“Worst room ever”
the location of the hotel is excellent, however the room was filthty, the sheets ripped, the wallpaper worn from the curtain which was totally stainy. The windows look like they have never been cleaned for decades. The disappointment was topped by the bathroom. Fungus everywhere, hair from different people in the sink and sewer pipes covered with antk dust. I actually used the public bathroom in the hallway because mine was so discusting! I will never ever stay in this facility again!!
