“Comfortable, clean, 3* hotel”

Nice, friendly hotel; very firendly service. This is really a 3 star hotel rather than 4, but having said that, it was great value for money. Could have done with one or two more staff; the breakfast waitresses were working alone (one each day) and were run off their feet - we felt really sorry for them.

Area recommendations
This area (Kemp Town) is a really convenient area for shops and promenade; only downside is that parking can be difficult and there was quite a bit of noise at night from drunken club leavers.
Dining
Great Italian food at Zizzi's, Prince Albert Street, or at the Sawadee (Thai) restaurant just round the corner from Gulliver's.

“Would recommend to friends and family”

This was our 2nd stay at Gullivers. The room we had this time was very small compared to last time, presumably because we booked it on a last minute special rate offer. We didnt mind as it was only for one night and we were out until quite late. The room was clean and toiletries and bottled water are supplied in the room, along with the usual tea, coffee and biscuits. The food and service are excellent and cannot be faulted. The location is perfect being within a couple of minutes walk from the Pier and the Lanes. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Area recommendations
You can spend quite a while wandering The Lanes with their quaint shops and especially The Angelfood Bakery with their delicious Cup Cakes! The Pier is good with information plaques all along so that you can read about the history, The Seafront of course with its bars and eating places is lovely. There is an endless choice of restaurants to choose from in the town covering every type of cuisine. If you are looking for fresh fish to take home then Sea Haze, the fishmongers on the seafront promenade is the place to get it! You can get standby tickets for some of the shows an hour before the performance at The Theatre Royal, we saw The Rat Pack after spending a couple of hours sipping cocktails in Bar Valentino next door!! Altogether a wonderful place to spend a few days!!

“Brighton Getaway!”

I decided on Gulliver's as a pretty decent place to stay. Its in a great part of Brighton. Traffic isn't bad and parking is cheap. The guest house itself is quite nice with some original artwork on the walls. Well decorated. The staff were great. Very friendly and happy to oblige. They allowed us an early check-in which was a real bonus. They were always happy and chirpy at breakfast. It's cleaned daily so there's rarely anything that gets missed. It's also in a location which although is close to the town centre, is far enough away from it to be nicely quiet.

Traveller's tip
If you're going to park the car and forget about it, get parking tickets from reception. They cost five pounds and last 24hrs. Set the alarm on your watch though, or you might get caught out and forget you've got to replace the ticket... or buy two of course.

“Excellent hotel in Brighton, UK”

Very friendly staff, bright, clean room, nicely presented, perhaps a little small, quiet, excellent breakfast, close to everything, very happy.

“Good value, good location”

Nice big, comfortable room. I was staying on the top floor and the wi-fi signal was weak (it was fine down in the lobby). I would stay again.
