Superb!

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: It would be nice if staff could introduce themselves upon arrival or wear a name badge.
I had a two-day visit and felt 'at home' and comfortable in the hotel. A beautiful Regency building close to the sea and shopping centre as well as the Pavilion, gardens, restaurants and theatre. The room was small but adequate for a short stay. The stairs could be quite challenging for some people. Nice to have tea/coffee in the room as well as fresh fruit. Wonderful breakfast and cake available to guests.

Lovely hotel great location

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Lovely grade 2 listed building set next to a central gardened area. It's away from the traffic on the seafront, so nice and quiet. Staff were all very helpful and answered any questions we had about the area. Excellent breakfast. And we will definitely use again.

Hübsches B&B an guter Lage

Posted 07-Apr-2015

Friendly staff, nice hotel, good breakfast

Posted 24-Feb-2015
Pros: Delightful staff. Very pleasant hotel, nicely furnished. Great breakfast, mostly organic. All is done with generosity.
Cons: A lift would have been handy...but there is no room.
Location: Great location, near the beach, shopping street, mall, lots of restaurants just round the corner. Pleasant view over the square.
The location is really good. Hotel is pleasant, the staff being the nicest I've ever met. Very generous. Nearly all is sustainable and organic. Lovely touch: home made organic cake with 'Help yourself' sign. Only slight drawback: My room was small and on the third floor without lift. But the young man took my suitcase upstairs for me.

Stylish hotel in central Brighton

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Pros: Attractive buffet style breakfast, and free organic cake!
Cons: Room was on 4th floor, and no lift - could be a problem if you have mobility problems.
Location: Seafront, The Lanes, Brighton Pavilion
Friendly, laid back hotel, close to sights and amenities

Elegant small Victorian B & B close to seafront.

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: Brighton House felt like a home away from home. Newspapers to peruse over breakfast, a fluffy cat in the lobby, fresh flowers.
Cons: I have no suggestions for improvements.
Location: Near the seafront but set back enough to be out of the strong winds. Easy walk to everything.
I was warmly welcomed into an elegantly informal, pleasantly fragrant lobby/dining room. The Manager and other staff were helpful and solicitous without being intrusive. My small room, compact but well appointed, had a sunny balcony with sea view and two chairs. Breakfast was buffet style with many healthy choices. Brighton House is easy to find, only about two minutes' from the seafront and yet quiet, set back as it is in Regency Square. There is underground parking accessed in the Square. Many restaurants, bistros and cafes both along the seafront and in nearby roads, with a supermarket and convenience stores also handy.

Great New Year Celebration

Posted 04-Jan-2015
Pros: Breakfast and location
Cons: Having some heating in the bathroom on the top floor - so that wet towels can be dried
Location: Excellent location near to the beach, restaurants and public houses.
We had a great experience at the Brighton House Hotel. The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious as well. Downside for us was that we were on the top floor and the view from the window was not great, but apart from that it was perfect.

Excellent quiet location.

Characterful terraced property in a pleasant quiet location overlooking a green 200 yards back from the promenade and short walk to the livelier part of town. Our 3 single on suit rooms on the upper floors were small but perfectly adequate, very clean with nice linens and bedding. The cold buffet breakfast (till 10am on a weekday, 11 at w-end was nice...we were on holiday!) included an array of good quality bites including all the usuals plus cheeses, smoked salmon, hand cut toast and soft boiled egg (the token hot item). Friendly helpful staff and a big fluffy cat to greet you. Railway station 3/4 mile (£5.80 taxi). The only negative were the nocturnal plumbing noises (we were in the rafters) which hopefully has/will been sorted. Steepish stairs and no lift which was no problem for us 3 middle aged codgers with bags. Recommended.

This hotel is a hidden gem

Booked a 2 night stay at Brighton House. The hotel is in a convient location, so makes a great base for exploring Brighton. The room was at the front of the building it was very cosy and you could see the sea out of the window. Staff were welcoming and pleasant, including the adorable Cat! Breakfast was great too, really good service and a great selection to pick from. This would definitely be my first choice if I was to visit Brighton again!
