great hotel near beach/town/nightlife

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Pros: all of it
Cons: could do with a full length mirror in room 43!
Location: About a minutes walk from the beach, 3 or 4 minutes into town and nightlife. Handy secure car park under the green in front of the hotel.
Fabulous stay, staff were unobtrusively friendly, breakfast was delicious, location perfect, would definitely stay here again,no question.

Cosy and intimate Hotel close to seafront.

Posted 05-Aug-2014
The hotel Cat was the first to welcome me to Brighton house a very relaxed and friendly moggy. On checking in i was assisted to my room which was very nice of the receptionist who was also courteous and professional. The standard double i was in was very cosy yet not too fussy just enough of everything. I slept very well due to comfort of bed and the quiet cool conditions, the breakfast was very appealing both to look at and devour. The hotel has an ideal location and is situated in a picteresque square almost on the seafront. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Classy hotel in a perfect location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at The Brighton Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was smart and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Mr Watts, the cat, was also very friendly! The hotel is very good value for money and we will definitely stay there again.

Lovely place

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly, laidback, no fuzz, clean, comfy, central
Cons: The bathrtoom colours
Location: Very central, 5 min walk to the main shopping centre, restaurants 30 meters from the hotel, main road just around the corner. Beach one minute walk.
Stayed in the hotel for four nights and really enjoyed it. Lovely staff, clean room, sweet cat, good breakfast and amazing free cake! Will definately stay there again if going to Brighton!

Hotel was close to beach and in a quiet location.

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Pros: Its position in Brighton
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: The hotel was well placed for a variety of restaurants and was only a short walk to both the beach and The Lanes etc.
Very pleasant stay. Would have preferred a room on a lower floor and not up 70 stairs.

Sweet little hotel

Posted 12-Jun-2014
Pros: Perfect for a couple of nights stay
Cons: Beds could have been a bit bigger to improve comfort, but would probably compromised room space too much
Location: 1 minute walk from the coast - cafes and bars, and 5 from the centre/restaurants etc
The staff were very accommodating throughout my stay here. Despite the room being quite small, it was light and airy, with nice views onto the courtyard and a sea breeze. Breakfast was lovely also. Also 1 minute walk from the coast, and 5 from the centre/restaurants etc

Brilliant central hotel

A fantastic family-run small hotel, much nicer than the big ones nearby, close to beach and city centre, with lovely staff, great breakfast and good rooms. We had a faultless stay.

A wonderful find!

Brighton House is in a great location within walking distance of the beach, pier, Lanes, North Laine, Cultural Quarter and even Hove if you enjoy a good walk! the Hotel itself is wonderfully bohemian with homemade cakes, cosy rooms with a really big bathroom, and a fantastically filling and healthy breakfast. There's no snotty eggs and greasy bacon here, just bowls of healthy fruit, yogurts, cereals, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs and a wide range of breads and condiments. Personally, for me, the highlight of the stay was the inscrutable Mr Watts; an elderly long haired cat who patrolled the halls and stairwells with dignity and grace. I understand from the delightful staff that he is pushing 20 years old so if you are a cat person, I highly recommend booking a visit to Brighton House before Mr Watts goes to that great Hotel in the sky.

Bed too short

Posted 15-May-2014 on Hotels.com
I booked the single room for the night - the bed was too short for a comfortable night's sleep. If I do book again I will ask for another room as it was the only thing that disappointed
