A short stay but a few observations: - Carpets on the stairs up to the room hadn't been hoovered in a long time - chair in room fell apart on day 2. I'd been sitting at it on day 1. Day 2 I went to pull it out and it fell apart. If I'd sat on it I'd have been injured - thermostat on shower didn't work. It delivered scalding got water only - mixer on shower leaked constantly. Could only hear dripping. They'd attempted to address this by wrapping a towel around the taps to catch the drips. Problem is when I arrived it had clearly been there a few days and was sopping wet so drips hit with a loud thud - kettle was half full with water. No idea how long it had been there. Should have been emptied

A good place to stay if you have an early flight from Gatwick airport. The property was quiet and the bed of decent quality. However, the sheets were all creased and they felt dirty. The rooms need a good deep clean and updating.

Big room, centrally located in Forest Row (across from bus stop; walking distance to shops and food). The bar downstairs was really loud one night, and it could have been cleaner. There aren't a lot of options in the area, and this place was fine, but underwhelming (and felt overpriced)

5* from A to Z.
5* from A to Z. Friendly professional receptionist. Great attitude, oriented to the customer. Clean rooms and free of oddors. Nice bead and room including the toilet. A little bit cold for my own taste definitely not so cold as to botter me in any way. I guess if I was looking was a thermostat on the radiator. Clean hotel with a large free carpark. (As improvement few lights in the carpark will made a big difference for safety of the customer cars and goods ) . Thank you very much for the acoomodation and I will look into booking this hotel again in the future. PS : A bar is also available in the premises for whomever is interested in having few beers. (Was not my case this time but is good to know).

Although the staff were friendly and accommodating as much as possible, the state of the room was and the furnishings was not good. From lights not working to headboards falling off in the night and a panel covering a hole that you could see the outside from. No breakfast offered and very little to appeal to customers. Unfortunately not somewhere we would ever visit again.

Loud live music in all the rooms
Beware of the live music, there is nowhere quiet in this hotel until 1am. They really shouldn't allow bookings on live music nights.

Hotel is ok for the price, disappointing that they do not offer breakfast (was not aware when the hotel was booked). Evening meal was ok unfortunately nothing to shout about. checkout - had to wait at reception for 5 minutes plus for a member of staff to arrive after I had press the button for attention.

Property was located in centre of village which was ideal. There were however a few issues. 1). The car park is down the street and away from the hotel I didn’t feel great parking my car in there overnight. 2). Hotel has seen better days and could do with a renovation and a new make over. When I checked in to the room the staff did pre warn me about the adjoining pub having music playing but when I came back after midnight the pub was still blasting music and had punters outside being very rowdy. Hotel should definitely be a 2* rather than a 3*. Prices also need to come down for the rooms as I paid too much for an average family room.

I like the service, the staff provide very friendly and efficient. But the hotel is understaffed. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. But the room's equipment i.e. lamps, sockets temperamental and could do with updating, disappointed that they can't offer a breakfast service for the price of the rooms. But overall a pleasant stay.

My stay was fine the staff were very nice and helpful. My room was clean although some minor repairs were needed. It was probably my fault, I’m not reading the information on your website correctly. I was expecting a breakfast, but there was nothing, not even a coffee or a slice of toast. I will stay again

Good hotel but room could do with a quick overhaul
The hotel staff all very pleasing and very helpful . The room did it job . It was starting to look a bit tired . Bed and facilities worked okay . A little bit worried about the radiator in the bathroom , the rust on it looked like it was ready for bursting at any time . The restaurant and food was good . I would stay there again . Just need to get the maintenance person working .

The hotel is in a very nice area. The staff was very helpful and polite. It’s clean. The hotel is a bit tired. The shower door was coming off, tap ends as well, but very clean and it functioned. Furniture in reception was very worn and carpets throughout were old. It was fine for the price.

It was a great experience the staff was really friendly. I arrived at 2 am from a later flight and even after they closed I called the number on the door and one of the workers still came down and helped me out while being in good spirits. Overall great experience. The bed was so comfortable and I love the character of the building. I’d come back forsure

Bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was well worn out, or some dinasaur used it before me. Beer is well expensive but and here is the good point, the food is excellent. One poit to make breakfast is NOT available.

good potential but poorly delivered
Straight forward basic facility that could have been most acceptable but was marred by poor maintenance (no plug for sink, power sockets not working, gutter outside overflowing and pouring on the windowsill disturbing sleep) and no facility for breakfast. As septuagenarians we were asked mid stay to vacate our ground floor room to an upstairs room (no lift) for another guest. We later saw that the other guest coming out of the room we had vacated. We feel that having to waste time for the move was unreasonable and appeared to be a case of racial and age discrimination, giving greater importance to the preferences of a single young black African new guest rather than us as already resident elderly white British

A place to sleep but a band playing until 1am
It was ok. Room are run down but the sheet etc are clean. Strange that they didn’t give us any pre warning that there was a band playing until 1am in the hotel and no discount because of it.

Good bed and decent shower.
Decent room with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Due to lack of staffing they didn’t serve breakfast which was a real shame
