“very friendly hotel & helpful staff. good they had computer so i could contact my sister late”

“Don't believe a few negative reviews”
I was very impressed with the hotel. Having read some good and bad reports by other people I was a little worried that I would have a bad experience here. However, apart from the slightly claustrophobic room everything was good. And at the price I paid it was very good value for money. Having stayed at the nearby Travelodge the week before I can only say that the Brighton Hotel is excellent and a lot cheaper. I liked it so much that I'm here again this week - I hadn't expected to have to stay over so only booked on Expedia the afternoon before. I particularly asked for a single room with a bigger window and I even got one with a sideways view of the sea! For just about for tee quid a night including a really nice full English breakfast overlooking the sea, I can only say that this is a really good hotel in the economy bracket. I could have spent a lot more but didn't want to. This is a good bargain - not having a car I haven't experienced the negative side of this aspect but imagine that those people that moaned on Tripadvisor just couldn't be bothered to get off their fat backsides and do something in time?? And as a special bonus, the hotel has lots of very nice young ladies (not of the night!) from all over Europe working here and they make an old man like me feel very welcome.....
“Good value for money”
I stayed in a single room, which was small but had all the amenitiesd I needed. an extremely comfortable sleep. Very friendly and helpful staff. good breakfast, and a great location on the sea front.

Fantastic hotel and a fantastic price. Staff really helpful and food good. Rooms Clean and well presented. Would book this hotel again.
“Good but not great”
Hotel is a little bit far away from the main attractions in Brighton. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean but a little bit cold (the window that didn't even close properly) and we were woken up by the rubbish men in the morning.
“Well Managed Small Brighton Seafront Hotel”
GOOD: Although small, public areas/bedrooms/bathrooms had been modernised well and were clean. Also breakfast choices were good, freshly prepared and delicious. BAD: The walls of our 1st bedroom were so thin that we were able to fully hear the phone conversation and subsequent snoring of our next door neighbour. We were then moved to a 2nd bedroom which had thicker walls however the room was a bit cold. Providing the hotel guarantees us a room with thicker walls next time around, we'd definitely come back and stay.
“not impressed”
room 215 no light over bed.Fire escape notice out of date.No opaque glass or blind at shower room window. Room 220.Duvet too narrow, reading light too high and dim.No bedside table.Toilet seat badly fitted, no toilet brush. Room120, duvet too narrow, poor lighting. Main complaint, two of the first rooms we were given very claustrophobic, too many stairs to climb up and down to get there. No view at all ,very depressing. We were given clean towels each day in spite of not needing them, are we not trying to save the planet? Breakfast and staff were excellent.
