Nice hotel, friendly staff. Modern rooms and nice facilities. The family room is nice as there are 2 seperate rooms, warm and comfortable. Very good location, as your away from the busy end but not too far that you can't walk or go in the other direction to the adventure parks etc.,

Very nice weekend. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Room great and well equipped - tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron, sweets! Breakfast was great and freshly made. Location was great. Near to the sea, local shops and pubs as well as the city centre.

There was a very noisy water system in the eaves of the room which woke us up at 6.30am when the host had to get up. This was a rare night away from small children, so we were desperately needing and looking forward to a long overdue lie in to recharge our batteries. This, to us, was one of the main benefits of the night away, so it was hugely disappointing not to be able to have a couple of extra hours sleep. This had a big impact on our whole weekend and it was further disappointing when there seemed to be a lack of understanding when the issue was regrettably raised. He did apologise but it was followed with the fact that it was the cheapest of the 3 rooms they had, the water system had to go somewhere and that was the time he had to get up. It was also pointed out that he hadn't had other complaints. Unless other guests were very heavy sleepers I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have been woken up. Maybe they could get back to sleep quicker, so it bothered them less, but it takes me a long time to get back to sleep and each time before I could, it would go off again. I don't think the price of the room should mean that we should expect to be woken up early, so don't feel that is a justification. If we were expecting to be woken up that early we wouldn't have booked at all. Such a shame, as the rest of the place was to a very high standard and a thoroughly lovely, peaceful, relaxing setting. It was lovely to be in the countryside with the cat, dogs and chickens.
Idyllic 16th century house in beautiful gardens with stunning views close to a village with a range of eating places. The bedroom was lovely with lots of 'extras'; en-suite was tiny, our 6ft 3 son in law would have struggled!
Richard is a fantastic host and keeps all his lovely-looking rooms faultless; clean, tidy and comfortable. Because of the limited budget, I stayed in a single room with a separate bathroom, but when my room has a sea view and its bathroom is that spacious and clean, this may well have been a better choice than an en-suite one. Breakfast includes a perfect fried egg, too! Two people working for him at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, too, which we don't usually see in many hotels these days, do we? If you are looking for a Hilton type, then there are some choices for you in Brighton, but otherwise I'd definitely recommend this wee gem to anyone healthy enough (no lift as far as I can remember).

The B&B is off the road and very quiet. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is well prepared and presented. The owners when we forgot some articles of clothing went out of there way to make sure we had it at our next hotel as soon as possible. They were terrific.

A very traditional English seaside hotel. Warm and friendly welcome with full Concierge facilities. The room was comfortable with an excellent sea view. The decor was a little tired but still well appointed. Breakfast was buffet style with table service for tea/coffee. Full english was included and there were additional dishes from the menu. The service was good and the food excellent. We did not dine in the evening. Not the cheapest but the extra services made it good value.
