Clean & cheap

Posted 17-Sep-2013
You will need a satnav to find it. A bit off the beaten track, 10 mins from the Motorway. But clean & the right price & the staff were very helpful. One bonus a Buffallo Grill next door to the hotel, a convenient place to eat.

Première Classe Perpignan Sud

Posted 01-Nov-2012 on Hotels.com
Having read some of the previous comments avbout this hotel I approached my vsiit with more than a little trepidation. However, I should not have been worried as everything was more than satifactory. Praise should go to the staff who helped me with a number of logistical problems on my trip; they were very friendly, helpful and covered a number of European languages between them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for as no frills, budget option that still delivers quality of service.

okay but nothing special

Posted 13-Sep-2012
Pros: leaving
Cons: breakfasts
Location: middle of nowhere, fine if you have a car, half an hour on the number 5 bus if you don't with last bus about 10
It was ok would have been nice not to have to play 'pass the passport' because their card key did not work! Breakfast food was terrible, I mean this is the south of france and no fresh fruit, toxic yoghurt and not very good bread for a fiver. Not good!

Don't let the name mislead you...

Pros: price only
Cons: check in time was only from 5-9 PM or before 11 AM and the room was tiny
Location: far from anything substantial
The name of the hotel makes one expect more but for the price, we should have known better. We had 3 people in one room and we could not even turn around without one person moving aside, it was so small. The only towels were 3 bath towels and no bath mat or hand towels and the shower water spills out onto the floor. Check in time was VERY limited as well. I suppose for a budget hotel and one person it would have been ok but for 2 or 3 people, it's far too crowded. I booked all my own hotels for the week and this was the only disappointment. If you are looking for cheap and clean, this is fine but anything above that will not be offered. I stay at Motel 6 in the US so I am used to simplicity but they are far above this.

rundown and dirty

Posted 06-May-2011
Stayed here the past 2 years cheap cheeerful and clean THEN, now dirty, rundown and unkept we didnt even stay for breakfast. In the morning because of sneezing all night I removed the top sheet to find a filthy stained mattress cover with animal hairs on, all they needed to do was wash the mattress cover. Pubic hairs in shower. Really upset because now we have got to find somewhere else to stay each year.

Premier Classe Perpignan

Posted 07-Oct-2010 on Hotels.com
When you actually find this place it's a gem! Do not attempt it either after dark or without a Sat Nav! Reception was very cheerful and friendly and we were recommended to eat at the Buffalo next door. We were tired, but the Buffalo was welcoming and we went to bed happy bunnies. Breakfast at the hotel - after a very comfortable night, great beds guys! - was well presented and of a high quality. The room had everything we needed for an overnight stopover. It was clean and the layout worked well for us. We were a mother and daughter duo, not particularly confident in travelling in France - on the wrong side of the road! - alone. But this Premier Classe was both cheap and cheerful, but not in the normal meaning of the phrase. Fantastic value and a brand I'd come back to in France.
