At first we were unsure about reserving a room on the street side, but after receiving assurance from the front desk staff we were rewarded with a very quiet stay, trip advisor had reviews panning the noise, unless you opened the window, they are double paned, you could not hear any road noise. We would definetly stay again.
This hotel has an awful lot going for it. We spent four nights for End of the Trail basketball tournament. Our stay was quiet, parking was easy, there were abundant restaurant choices in the hood and it was in the Goldilocks zone from the highway. The staff were excellent from manager to maintenance.
This great little Motel has seen better days but feels like it is now in the hands of someone trying to bring it up to the next level and because of this it allowed me to see its shortcomings in a more understanding light. Part of our room had some upgrades but the all important television was not one of them (but may be by the time you stay there). The wallpaper was tattered here and there but the bathroom had been redone. For me the quiet and location bonuses outweighed the rough around the edges feel and once this property completes a good mid-life refit it can paste another star and a half on the wall.
Came in for a wedding and stayed here the first few nights in town. Good price on the room. Comfortable beds. Clean. Nice staff provided breakfast for us after sleeping in from a late flight cross country trip.
This is in a good location for travel to Portland and you get free parking here - there is a train station just 5 mins drive away and a return to Portland is only 5 dollars - just 20 mins to the centre or if you are going to the Moda Center. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Nancy the receptionist. an excellent choice.
