“gateway inn”

very nice hotel.. Nothing fancy , but the people there are very nice and the rooms are very affordable. There wifi is very good too

“Almost there.”

The Continental breakfast consisted only of bagels & toast. No cereal or any other options. The lady working the desk on Sunday insisted on yelling down the halls to catch the other members of the staff attention. She was a polite and kind lady but needed to yell to someone more than once. lol It was funny actually. This was the 2nd year that we've stayed there. They made really nice upgrades to the rooms and new mattresses on the beds. The hallways and exteriors needs a some help too.

“Best bang for your buck!”

We arrived at the hotel late, no problems. I called in for a fridge, they were more than accommodating. Hotel is old but clean & friendly. The only downside was that the entire building smelled of cigarette smoke including the non-smk area, but the smell in room was not too bad. Hotel was safe, quiet & we got a good nights sleep!

“East Grand's Inn”

This motel is a bare bones type of place to stay....it has EVERYTHING that we needed. We do not stay in the room all day, there is so many places to go for shopping. We thoughly enjoyed our stay in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks. It is a for sure thing for a RETURN trip real soon!!! :)

“Acceptable for the Purpose”

We stayed at the East Grand Inn in February 2012 for a weekend shopping trip. The room was adequate for what we needed, which was a place to sleep and store our purchases. We did most of our shopping in and around Columbia Mall, so the location was a little inconvenient. There is no restaurant on site, other than continental breakfast. They can provide a fridge and microwave, which allows you to have some meals in your room. There is also a major grocery outlet nearby so food wasn't an issue.

“It was okay”

You get what you pay for. We just needed a place to sleep for the night so we didn't mind the old decor and really small bathroom. The room was very cold even after we blasted the heat. The complimentary breakfast was alright. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

“Not impressed”

This motel needs major updating and a good cleaning. Most rooms are non-smoking but you can still smell smoke because the staff smokes in the hallways, can't figure that one out. Gave it a chance because it's close to downtown. I have my doubts I would stay there again.

“Some Issues”

The room looked clean when we first walked in, but then we found stains on the pillow cases! Yuk! Then we discovered the door to our room had not closed all the way because the wood trim that the lock was connected to was loose from the wall! Then we went to look out of the window and found the screen was bent and half hanging off! Even for the price, I would not stay there again. I would recommend paying about $20 more to stay somewhere else.

“could do much better”

both beds had burn holes in bedding and the towels had a musty smell.

“1/2 star”

The room was booked for 4, but we had towels and cups for 2. The hallway smelled bad and the room smelled worse. If you stay in the room you seem to get used to the smell, but when you step outside for a moment and come back it hits you again. Also the lights over the sink went out. Went to the front desk and was able to et the circuit breaker reset fairly quickly... So marks for that service.
