“Decent location but room could be cleaner.”

In terms of location within Ghent we found the hotel was convenient. Easy stroll to the Friday Market and along the main walking route through the historic area of Ghent. The room had exposed wooden beams and had some character but could have been cleaner as there were numerous cobwebs up in the ceiling area. Had a view of the back of another building and some rubbish. Staff were not as friendly as we encounter at many hotels however they did respond reasonably well in English when asked specific questions. However they did not provide great direction on the WIFI that they charged for as they did not advise how to logout so the time did not run out.

Area recommendations
The historic Centre of Ghent is a beuatiful place to visit.

“Outstanding location.”

Very nice, practical hotel. Nothing fancy but comfortable. The location is outstanding. The hotel is situated in the heart of the historic city center. A lot to see and do within easy walking distance. Breakfast buffet very good.This was my second visit to this hotel. I will stay there again.

“Excelent Stay”

A most centrally located hotel on the river. Easy walking distance to everything with very clean rooms, and first class included breakfast.

Area recommendations
Central Square- Near everything and many fine restaurants , beer bars ( 150-250 selections ) , night entertainment, chocolate shops, and one pretty city all around.

“"Mer sentralt kan det ikke bli"”

Hotellet ligger et minutts gange fra Fredagmarkedet og 3-5 min. gange inn til det historiske sentrum med fantastiske flotte historiske bygninger - kirker og Gravenstein borg. Den sentrale beliggenheten gjør at en kan oppleve byen både dag og kveld. . Det eneste minuset var at det var lydt ut til korridoren, men vi opplevde alltid ro før kl 23.

Area recommendations
Historisk sentrum. Om dagen er det et yrende folkeliv - turister på vandring med hodene vendt mot alle de fantastiske bygningene og vel bevarte gamle fasadene på vanlige moderne hus og lokalbefolkning på handleturer. Kanalene er også verdt å ta en tur på. Om kvelden får man oppleve resturanter med nydelig mat og "hundrevis" av øltyper. Alt dette og mer til kan altså oppleves ved å spasere noen få hundre meter fra hotellet
What to pack
Ta med klær for all slags vær, det skifter fort fra sol til regn og omvendt. Det viktigste klesplagget var vindtett jakke. Vi opplevde byen i 4 dager tidlig i september og hadde alt fra 13 - 27 grader, noen regnbyger, men mest skyer og sol.
