“Fabulous hotel in the very centre of Gent.”

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and it is impeccable. The staff are friendly and accommodating - their English is very good (which is great for those of us who don't speak the local language). We didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food (we were staying with family, so shared meals with them). I look forward to our next trip.

Lovely hotel situated in an excellent location in the centre of Ghent. Receptionist was friendly and efficient as were all of the staff that we came into contact with. The room was of a good size and the bed very comfortable. Our trip was a birthday treat for my partner, Ghent is a lovely city and the high quality of the hotel just added to a special long weekend.

“American style hotel in the heart of Ghent”

Very American style large hotel in the heart of Ghent. The location was amazing and the service was great. The room size was huge and the beds were comfortable, but they should upgrade/renew their linens. I would hightly recommend this hotel.

The location was brilliant - right in the centre of the old town overlooking a canal, and the building itself an impressive amalgamation of an old brick facade and gleaming modern interior. Our room was tastefully decorated, if a little bland, and the toiletries were good quality. Because of the sound-proofing and air con, we had our first decent nights sleep in days. The reception staff were very pleasant and even lent us an umbrella when the heavens opened just before we were due to go out for dinner. Ghent's a beautiful city but in some areas there's a lot of restoration building work.

Clean, modern and comfortable. our stay would have been perfect if it wasn't disturbed by some noisy renovation on the last morning, but I think this is an isolated occurrence.

“Gent Marriott”

The Marriott in Gent is perfectly located on the canal and city center. Rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Hotel service could have been better. My internet, which I paid for was not available on the day before check-out. There was no compensation in price for having no use for 1/2 day.

“A good place to stay”

We stayed at the Marriott for one night last week. It is a very modern almost new hotel, right in the centre of Ghent. The room was fine -very comfortable bed, fairly spacious, flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities. Bath/shower room was a bit on the small side but nothing disastrous. Loads of soaps, gels, shampoos, etc. Everywhere seemed very clean. Staff were professional rather than welcoming but again no real problem. Good bar and large lounge area for sitting. Overall it was an impressively designed that we'd go back to if in the area.
