“very close to station and buses back to airport, only 2.30euros each”

The hotel was 5 minutes from the Euroline stop and 10 from the main railway station and the tourist information centre. Only one problem that check in was not until 14:00pm which I found a bit late. The hotel was clean as was the room. If you fancy a tea or coffee there was a station on the first floor for this free of charge and self service. Breakfast was first class. Overall you could not complian.

Getting around

Buy a welcome card it gets you on public transport for free as well as free and reduced entry to museums the costs of the museums covers the cost of the crad.

“its ok”

My room was a singel room on topfloor verry smal, 5 floors by elevaitor one floor walk. The breakfast was " fantastic" they want 5 Euro extra for internet! mmmm i did not like that..

“Fantastic”

Great hotel, even better location. Dusseldorf is a must. Loads to see and do. The old town has a great atmosphere. Try the ALT beer (black beer) its a must. Everyone is so friendly. Swiney Janes will serve you with a fantasic typical german dish. The boat trip down the Rhine is a great experience, as the tower. I would recommend you make your own way to and up the tower though to save you money. It is in easy walking distance from the old town. We cant wait to go back.

We stayed in the "new" part of dusseldorf. Hotel Residence. The hotel was no longer than 5min walk to the train and bus station. The old town was 3 stops away on the train, which every train passed through.

“Can't wait to go back”

Yes this hotel is in the centre of all the attractions in Dusseldorf. It has an amazing breakfast buffet and there are many restaurants you can eat at, which is only about a 5 or 10 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, great customer service, they speak English as well as German. Overall, I cannot wait to go back again.

“Avoid this hotel - horrible, closet-sized room - very poor service - dangerous neighborhood”

I was given a tiny closet sized room in an attic - elevator goes to 5th floor only, closet room is on 6th floor. There was no one in the lobby when i check in, and the lobby was locked shut when i arrived after my meetings - i was fortunate to have checked in early - else i would have been on the street for the night - where I was accosted by a hooker 1 block from hotel late at night. Unless you want to risk your safefy, put up with non-existent service and stay in a closet, look elsewhere.

“Better than expected!”

This hotel was a good value and better than expected for three stars. It was the lowest priced Hotel I could find during March 2011. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I was able to purchase internet access for my laptop for $5 daily. They have a nice breakfast. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The location is good if someone needs to use public transportation however not necessarily the best part of town.

“Good weekend accommodation”

Hotel situated in good location. Tram stop nearby, hauptbahnhof less than 10 minutes walk. Great breakfast. Free tea & coffee available on the first floor. Comfortable beds. Great for a weekend break
