“Great for couples, warning for business travellers!”

The hotel is very nice. The staff are very friendly and customer service was excellent. The rooms were very nice, however, the bathroom wall is made out of glass. If you're a couple, this can be romantic, however if you're using this for business and staying with a colleague this can be very awkward. Be forewarned!

“A very comfortable experience, though a little expensive.”

All staff at the Blu Media were incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. On the two occasions that I asked for assitance, problems were addressed in a matter of minutes. Hotel was very clean and welcoming, and the bar staff were very friendly, even offerring advice on places to eat. The only downside was that we could not properly control the airconditioning, which lead to the room being very warm at night, even though our trip was in October. Beds were very frim, which may be suitable some but not others.

Area recommendations

Make a point of visiting the Alstadt area of the city. The nightlife is a buzz, with restaurants invariably hectic. The option of eating outside under heaters is an exerience in itself, providing you can stand the queues.

Shopping

Extensive selection of shops, though in general found them to be fairly expensive.

Nightlife

A visit to the Alstadt area of Dusseldorf is a must, especially in the evenings. The atmosphere is just amazing.

“Stylish and relaxing”

It's a 4* hotel that feels like a 5* boutique hotel. Room service ends at 9pm, they don't have a pool (do have a sauna that I never used) and no concierge, but reception will try to fill that role too. The ambiance was lovely and modern, the room well thought out and comfortable - with that stylish touch always that I like. My colleague in the next room thought the bed was a little hard in her room, but I slept very well. Location is excellent, a very modern and elegant neighbourhood with excellent restaurants. You can't really go wrong here - a 4* hotel that feels as comfortable as the Le Meurice in Paris!

“Sehr modern eingerichtetes Hotel”

Vom Hotel aus kann man mit dem Bus leicht zum Hbf fahren oder in 15 Minuten in die Altstadt laufen. Die Zimmer sind schön, modern und sauber. Nur mit diesem ganz modernen Stil kann ich mich nicht anfreunden: Keine Toilettentür und eine Glasscheibe zwischen Bad und Bett?! Muss so viel "Offenheit" wirklich sein? Davon abgesehen ist es ein tolles Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen.
