“Lovely hotel”

We were visiting our daughter who was working in Düsseldorf and also staying at The Lindner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were very well looked after and would definitely return.

Area recommendations

Königsallee great for shopping. A trip further out to Kaiserswerth is well worth the effort - much quieter, beautiful old buildings, restaurants, small shops and walk along the Rhine bank.

“Great location near Airport”

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. Public transportation to downtown Duesseldorf is excellent. The rooms are comfortable.

“VERY GOOD”

The only thing we were upset with was the 15 Euro charge to be taken to the hotel from the airport by taxi. We were told by Air Berlin to expect to pay about 5 Euros. The Taxi driver spoke no English and I don't think he even spoke German. He took us onto the autobahn to get to the hotel. On the way back to the airport it was much shorter and no super highway. I think we were just taken advantage of by the Taxi.

“Would return”

The hotel was all that anyone needs for a restful stay and provides friendly service. This first time traveller to Europe needed some education about hotel practices and how-tos associated with room management, such as electricity requirements (voltages), usage (keycard placement for flow), and room temperature options (a/c policies)--knowledge made the stay rewarding.

“It sucks....”

I had to spend only one night in the hotel between flights....Hotel did not provided shuttle even it was supposed to. I had to take a taxi Air-conditioner in the room did not work. I called front desk 3 times and they promised to take care of it, but never did. I had to sleep with open window hall night.. Asked front desk for wake-up call at 5:00AM, but never received it. I did not received a ride in the hotel’s shuttle to airport and had to take a taxi. Very unpleasant experience.

“Nice hotel”

Nice place to stay. I didn't get to see much of Dusseldorf since I was there late at night and gone early in the morning. I only rent the hotel room because I had a 12 hour lay over on my way somewhere else. I mainly got the hotel because it said it had an airport shuttle. Found out that the shuttle didn't run on weekends though. My cab fare was only about 7 euros though, so it wasn't a big deal. The room was clean and comfortable, typical nice European hotel.

“Nice stay near airport”

I had a 12 hour overnight layover on my way back to the US from Europe and I chose to stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. I wish there had been a shuttle from the airport, but I arrived after 11pm and so the shuttle was no longer running and I had to take a cab. Nice clean comfortable room though.
