Thanks for your comment on hooks we will look to checking the bedrooms for hooks . The doors all have locks fitted and we have found this to be sufficient .

A lovely little stay for the Great North Run. Floor was a bit dirty, but apart from that, perfect!

It would have been perfect if the pub and kitchen was actually open. We were not informed that they closed the bar and restaurant side and had no Wi-Fi. Apart from that the room itself was pretty nice and tidy. I wouldn’t return unless it was actually open for food and drinks.

Great Hotel at reasonable rate.
The rooms are motel type in the car park. They are large and very clean. Tea and coffee available in room. My only criticism is that the large rooms do not have a chair of any kind. There is plenty of room for an easy chair and a desk chair. My colleagues room next door didn't have any either. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Large portions and very tasty with a good selection. Would definitely recommend for business or pleasure.

Great stay
The whole stay was great from start to finish. Staff were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. The food was amazing and I slept like a log. Would highly recommend staying here.

Much of the hotel was being re-modeled so situation slightly chaotic but staff team wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.

No chef, no alternative catering suggestions made.
Payment was taken from bank account after booking was made even tho confimation was to pay on arriving. Was called 2 hours before checking in to be told that it was cash only, and there was no chef. Not being from the area, asked if any recommendations could be made for something to eat and was told to use just eat. Was left with no way of getting a breakfast, as there was no local cafes etc that opened before 9am, and i had to be checked out and left to be at business course for 9am. Room was adequate, but no desk to do any paperwork. I understand the premises have recently changed hands, but had i been informed there was no where for a meal(whithout having to get takeout) or to be able to get a breakfast before work, i would have cancled my booking as moved it else where, as the venue was booked soley for its proximity to veune. From this experience, i more than likely wouldnt use the venue again.

I was disappointed to find that breakfast wasn’t included as advertised. Also the internal lock on the door didn’t work so I had to drag a piece of furniture in front of it to feel safe. I could feel every spring in the bed so not the best nights sleep (I can usually sleep anywhere!)

Lovely staff who made you feel very welcome. Really easy to access and cheap in a taxi to get into Durham. Only niggle was, was the beds. The base on one was unsteady and the other 2 the mattresses were awful. The single bed actually bruised one of the guests due to the springs petruding and the double bed had such a big delve in one side you couldn’t lay on it.

Due to Covid the building is a little shabby and sadly no breakfast as the chef left the day before. But this was forgiven because the landlady and landlord were fantastic. We all had a great evening. They are so friendly. We had a real laugh. Best night out I have had in a long time.

To be honest they could of explained it better 9n hotels.com that either they did not do breakfast or you had to pay for it separately as payed for 2 adults and 2 dog's and breakfast but did not get breakfast but other than that really dog friendly and very comfortable a really pleasant stay for us thanks so much

Bay Horse stop over.
Room was tired looking, carpet was in poor condition and had sticky patches underfoot. Shower over bath was lacking in water pressure and difficult to control water temperature. Bath trim was dirty and damaged. Overall very disappointing and will not be booking again
