“Excellent overnight stay”

This hotel had been highly rated by other guests so that is why we chose it - we were not disappointed! In fact it was even better than we had anticipated. We had a warm welcome from Catherine the receptionist, who continued to be extremely helpful. The room was extremely comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep on a good bed and soft pillows (very important to me!). The bistro was great value for money and just what we needed after a long drive. The staff on the bar and bistro were also fantastic. Well done, Tracy the manager, for making the hotel so customer friendly.

Area recommendations

Travelled to Sunderland for Take That concert, so did not explore local area.

“Would def stay again”

Hotel was really nice, I was expecting a travel lodge standard for the price I'd paid but was pleasantly suprised. Check in was really easy and receptionist very helpful. My room had everything I could want including iron and iron board + WiFi. Didn't eat in restaurant, had room service which was very good and reasonable too. Every single member of staff i passed in the corridor etc acknowledged me with a friendly greeting and the receptionist remembered my name in the morning. Very easy to find off A1(M) nothing else really close though except petrol station
