“Don't expect the Ritz and you won't be dissatisfied”

Very clean hotel, safe, and quiet. Very friendly and flexible staff. Convenient location and great pool area. Would stay there again if the need arose - doubt there is a better place in Cloquet. As mentioned, don't suspect high end and you won't be let down. No regrets.

“Nice hotel”

My friend and I each rented a room here for one night. Both rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. It looks like they are doing some updating as mine had newer, more modern appliances: a stainless mini fridge, brand new AC unit, & a nice flat screen TV. Her fridge and AC unit were definitely older but both worked well. The furnishings are modern and nice, the bed was comfy and linens were fresh and clean. That's it! I'd stay here again!

“Take your kids!”

Spent a weekend, good breakfast, well kept pool area with enough to keep kids busy. Rates are okay and close to many other things to do in the area.

We stayed here because of the pool for my grandchildren who live in Cloquet and they came to use the pool. The motel is pretty spendy for the quality of the motel.

“Disappointment”

My husband called to try and book a room but the desk clerk said they were "all booked up." Then we went online and found rooms available and booked that way... annoying since we called and were turned away. Once we got into our room, I pulled aside the window curtain thinking I'd be able to look outside--wrong! We were one of a "lucky" few who got a room that opened into the pool. The main lock on the door didn't work so they had a flimsy metal bar installed at the bottom of the track to keep it from opening. The bathroom was teeny and we had to keep the door open to use it. The shower drain was clogged and 2 minutes into my shower, I was standing in water 2 inches deep. I had to shut the water off while I lathered my hair and waited while the water drained ever so slowly. The beds are uncomfortable as my husband and I slept terribly. The next morning, we went to breakfast... As I was picking up some scrambled egg-looking thing, a lady next to me said, "Those are disgusting." I grabbed it anyways and tried it. Yup, it was disgusting. The whole "breakfast" experience was not good. The french toast sticks looked like soggy pieces of cardboard and the hard-boiled eggs were over cooked. Overall, my advice is to CHOOSE A DIFFERENT HOTEL!

“why”

The room was nice, the tv volume being set at a maximum was annoying. The Hot was not good at all when the water blasts you in the face instead of circulating the water was quite annoying. And having no internet was even worse I paid for it should be working. the cost of the room was to much for what it was, I can get a room with a jaccuzi in the room for the same price.
