My only disappointment was that I was on a floor with smoking rooms and the was a very strong smell all down the corridor. Other wise staff were excellent. Room clean.

Decent location, nice pool, issues with service

The hotel is a 20-25 minute tram (708) or bus (834) ride from Düsseldorf HBF. Links are frequent however and if you're looking for ease of access to city centre then it's fine. However unfortunately we felt a little let down by the service. A 4* hotel is understandably pricey but €12.50 for a day of wi-fi is outrageous. My partner wanted to go to the pool as soon as we arrived however there was only 1 bathrobe in our room, we called reception who said they would send 1 up no problem. We waited 1hour (after calling again) with no sign so went to the pool anyway, by the time we came back nothing had arrived. The staff eventually did turn up with the bathrobe 3 hours after initial call, although we were happy to receive they knocked on the door despite a do not disturb sign being there. The following morning housekeeping knocked on the door despite the sign being there too, they told me to make sure I had the sign on the door which I already had! I didn't get anything from the mini-bar but we were going to use it to keep our water (purchased afford-ably at the garage across the street) cold but the fridge was not even working. On the plus side the pool was very nice and when warm out the terrace was nice for sun bathing. I'm not a frequent 4* visitor and this was booked for a special occasion so we feel very disappointed with the service (were also misinformed about tram ticket pricing at front desk), this was very much a let down so would not stay here again.

Hotel was very good considering it was full as I visited during a show at the Messe. Room was clean, food was good, not much to do in the vicinity but the hotel does have a pool and gym so not bad for short visits.

Not good! They must have given us the worst room # 101 in this hotel. One look outside to a wall and roof. Since it was one night we didn't make a big deal of it.
