Things were removed from the rooms by order of our parent company, Wyndham. We do not have a mask mandate in Iowa and as you may recall, the table in front of the front desk prevented you from being closer than 6 feet from us. You could have asked for any of those things and we would have gladly gotten them for you. The reason they are not in the room is, if you don't need them (which a lot of folks don't need an iron and ironing board) we don't need to sterilize them with cleaner as we do the counter tops and other things in the room. I'm sorry if you weren't confortable here due to Covid, but we are within our state's guidelines and guests need to make, on an individual basis, the decision to stay or not.

I would stay again
Everything was fantastic. The service, room and location were everything I could ask for. Staff was very friendly!! When I asked the front desk where I could sit by the River, I was told that hotels.com hadn’t removed the pic of the Restaurant where the seating was yet. I was disappointed as I has planned to do my morning meditation there. They upgraded my room so I could be on the river side and see it from a table in the room. I couldn’t have been happier!

GREAT STAY AND VIEW!
We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a suite with a kitchen and while it was very nice and spacious, the room was not equipped with silverware or napkins. The front desk staff was very nice and happy to check us in. They however did not tell us there would be no room service in the midst our stay. There were many trips to the front desk for additional towels and toiletries. They were very accommodating.

The room was very noisy.....wind howling thru the windows and doors. They dont tell you at check in nor is it posted in the room that there is no houskeeping for multiple days stay. Had to go to front desk for fresh towels and toilet paper. The continental breakfast consists of your choice of a pre packaged stale bun, a fruit cup, a carton of milk and a string cheese served in a brown paper bag. The coffee wasnt bad but had to ask them to refill the coffee dispenser. Checked out the pool and hot tub which to my surprise was open. Both needed a good cleaning so i passed on the opportunity. Now I realize that things are done differently during these times of Covid but my impression of the place is that they just got lazy. Didn't see anyone wiping or sanitizing counters or elevator buttons. Not worth the $311 for two nights in my opinion. The good was that the staff was very friendly.

Dear Ken, Very sorry your stay was less than satisfactory....Covid has, no doubt, made hotel stays not as pleasant. Our breakfast is what is mandated by our brand - everything prepackaged. We try to supply a variety and do buy the pastries weekly, so they should not have been outdated. We also are diligent about cleaning/wiping surfaces down. During a shift, the front/back of the front desk, elevators and coffee station is wipped when someone has been at those stations. We also do them regularly throughout each shift - I'm sorry that you didn't actually see anyone do this but if you would have asked, we would have been happy to show you our check sheet. You should have been told no housekeeping. This, again, is due to Covid. You should have been asked if you WANTED someone to come in your room. Everyone I have asked at check in has said no. As far as the whistling, yes, our building was constructed tight. When there is wind off the river this occurs. I'm not sure if you called the front desk to complain, but generally by adjusting the windows or patio door this can be taken care of. I do hope you'll come stay with us again, when all this Covid has past us and you can enjoy our buffet breakfast and a more pleasant stay.

This property was not renovated for years. Looks like owner doesn’t want to spend any 💰 for now. He wants to sell? Looks like cleaning personnel didn’t vacuum this place in days.

super pleased!!!
We had to make a trip for a college visit. The Baymont was very remote. Beautiful surroundings, super clean, very quite and the staff is very accommodating! Would stay again. The laundry and indoor pool also convenient and enjoyable. Would stay again!!

Avoid if you don't like fraudulent charges
BEWARE!! The hotel was nice, but they will double charge you! since our stay in July, the hotel manager Elaina refuses to return our calls and is conveniently never in the office when we call. The staff will keep telling you that the manager is looking into it, and will return your call, but they have yet to call me back in 3 months now! You will only get a run around while they fraudulently put extra unsubstantiated charges on your credit card. AVOID THIS HOTEL!!

The beautiful view of the Mississippi is worth it alone! For a screened-in balcony, jacuzzi, king bed, mini kitchen, and amazing view, this room was a STEAL OF A DEAL. The Baymont offered incredible value at a very affordable price. We originally were looking in Dubuque for places to stay, but decided to stay 20 minutes out of town for a better price here. I'm SO glad we did.

Stayed 1 night at Baymont while visiting the area. The river view from Baymont was very nice. Breakfast was lousy, coffee was horrible. Luckily there's a local diner/cafe (Richman's) just south of Baymont where we had a good breakfast. The room wasn't vacuumed, had crumbs and/or possibly cereal on the rug leading to and on the balcony overlooking the Mississippi River. Upon checkout, the gal at the front desk didn't bother asking how our stay was. I informed her that the room was dirty. She responded with a "when" suggesting she would "check it out." If they're renting rooms that someone obviously didn't clean properly/vacuum, it makes one wonder what else that wasn't cleaned, and/or neglected. I booked this room through my Hotel.com acct. I'll contact them next. Needless to say, I won't be staying at this dirty place again.

Great place to stay
The Baymont is a great place to stay. You can sit on the huge patio that has a bar connected. Have food and drinks served to you while you enjoy the Mississippi river view. The town of Bellevue is just down the road. Fun little shops and fun bars to visit exspiecaly Hanks great service and fun people!

Lovely location on the bank of the river. We had room with closed in patio area with river view which was nice although the patio area itself was a bit tired. Room was clean and comfortable. We were there for the rodeo which was only a short drive away.

Great Mississippi River hotel. The back patio is really amazing: right on the main channel. I grew up in area, and there are not many direct riverfront restaurants or hotels. The drive up to Galena through Sabula is amazing, but so is the drive to Dubuque. Very scenic area.

Didn't like that the room window didn't have any blinds made us uncomfortable. The continental breakfast didn't have any eggs or fresh fruit, I am on a Renal diet with sodium and potassium and phosherous limits.... I can't have sausage and other things that were offered ..so I went away hungry and had to get breakfast elsewhere.

Well I read it was a ' NO FILLS " in a review But I didn't expect that silverware, real cups, and just basic mini kitchen needs would be available scenei did have a refrigerator and microwave and sink with dish soap but not dishes!!! The restaurant was connected to the hotel but was not owned by them so they keep there own hours!!! Over all the staff was great the hotel was clean I just expected more form a Wyndham Co Owner for the price!!!

Thank you for the review! Offshore Bar and Grill is connected to the hotel however they do keep seasonal hours and currently open weekends only until May 1st. We do have amazing suites, however we do not keep cups, utensils, plates, etc in the rooms; but do provide them in our breakfast area at all times. We hope you come stay with us again this summer, the view is amazing and Offshore will begin their live music weekends soon!

Very clean property. I'm not sure if the girl at the front desk is simply shy and reserved or not real friendly, as I just didn't get a real friendly feeling with her. She was very helpful however when we needed to get in to the pool area so we could get in the hot tub. Pool area and hot tub was very clean but hot tub was about luke-hot. The breakfast left little to be desired. It would have been nice to have some fruit. Otherwise quiet and a nice stay overall!

As for the hot tub, there are temp regulations so sometimes it doesn't feel as hot and steamy as we wish. I like the suggestion of the fruit and we will have to bring that aboard.
