Great location but lots of steps

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Hotel was clean and neat when I arrived, but no one came in to my room the entire time. No trash emptying, or clean towels. In fact I never saw another person in the building for two days. Still I nice clean convent place for the price.

Dear guest someone is coming in the house at least once a day and checking all the rooms , emptying the trash and changing towels , cleaning the kitchenette . Maybe you didn't see them but someone was definitely there .

1 night stay

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Pros: The generous hospitality.
We stayed here for 1 night after returning from a sailing holiday. The room was small, but perfectly adequate as a base for seeing the town, and was clean with a good bathroom and shower. The owners were extremely helpful, even going as for to let our friends dump their kit and use the facilities whilst waiting for their flight out. We were also loaned a large umbrella as it had been raining heavily. Although we didn't use the small communal kitchenette, I understand it was stocked with complimentary bottled water and juice. We had stayed in larger and more expensive rooms when we first arrived in Dubrovnik, but were not made as welcome as we were at Vicelic.

Lovely guest house

This is a great place to stay while in Dubrovnik, room 4 is spacious and comfortabe, aircon and flatscreen, good wi-fi in room, bed was very comfy, bathroom nice with a large shower. Overall very clean place with friendly peolpe running it. Kitchenette has teas, coffee, sugar, fully equipped fridge full of juices, water, fruit, very nice touch. You will have to climb quite a few steps to get there but it's typical for Dubrovnik. There is a supermarket and war photo museum on the same street. Great value for money.

nice room, very well located

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Pros: very well located, right in the middle of center dubrovnik
Cons: the check in, not easy at all, had to look for somebody to do us a favor and lend us a phone to call the owner.
Location: near by center town, very good.
it was very nice, the only problem was that it wasnt clear to me that you had to pay only in cash it says you have to call the owner to let her know at what time you are getting there, we tried to email, no email, then we called her international call, and then still when we get there there was nobody... no big trouble at first, but if u think you are getting there after a long trip, with suitcases up all the stairs, with the heath, and all that.. is not that nice. Finding a public phone to make a call in certain places is not easy at all.

Great location, average room

Posted 24-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
This apartment is right in the heart of Old Town. The room was comfortable, clean, and a nice size. It is surprisely quiet considering the location. However, within the apartment it is noisy if there are other guests. We heard another couple coming in and out at 3:00 am, extremely loud in the room above us. It was very hard to sleep when this was going on. The owners are extremely hospitable and were on call for anything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here in the room upstairs or if there are no other guests occupying most the other rooms.

Super beliggenhet midt i gamlebyen, allikevel ingen støy, men man må like å gå i trapper.

Lovely little place just off the main street

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: Great location, nice decor, great staff.
Cons: Not much.
Location: Right in the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town. Everything on your doorstep.
We only stayed for a night but thought the room was nice - good furnishings, decor sympathetic with it being an old town location. We were in a compact ground-floor room that looked out onto one of the many stepped alleys in Dubrovnik - privacy and aircon both considered, it was a cosy space to be in. The owner was very helpful, letting us stash our luggage and use the separate bathroom on the day we flew out (we checked out at 10, but our flights weren't until the evening).

Excellent Location for Old City

Posted 02-Aug-2014
Pros: Location - found some great eating places.
Cons: To know in advance that they didn't have credit/debit card facility
Location: City walk Port and surrounds Wine tasting.
Anka lovely host and made us very welcome. Recommendation of Glam Cafe excellent (best coffee in Dubrovnik) Central so easy to get around the old city and not too many steps!
