“Amazing Dubrovnik”

Very good family run hotel at reasonable rates for Dubrovnik. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and offered excellent advice as to where to eat and visit. They arranged a speedboat( extra cost) to take us to a restaurant which they frequent as a family and it was quite excellent.A treasured memory. Overall a brief but very enjoyable stay. Dubrovnik is an incredible city which must be visited and the Hotel Berkeley is worth a try.

“Excellent hotel”

The room was clean and the breakfast good. Air conditioning works well although it takes a short while to start up, as does the TV. Staff were very friendly and helpful and advised about buses, restaurants etc. There is not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel except a walk round the harbour but the old town is only 10 minutes by bus or half an hour walk (steep roads en route). The Gatto restaurant is quite near and very good value, especially with a 10% discount voucher from the hotel. Unfortunately it is on a road which can be busy opposite the bus station. It is worth considering the Dobrovnic Card which includes entry to the walls and 10 bus tickets. The hotel will organise transport from the airport by email, rates on their website, which was convenient and good value.

“great overall”

Hotel not in centre of dubrovnik you need bus in but stop is quit near but no good unless you are fully fit as steps to get from harbour to hotel are steep ,The girls on reception are very helpful but man on night duty very rude and unhelpful ,bed was very comfy and hotel nice and quiet overall i would recommend this hotel as long as you do not have any walking problems

“Nothing to complain about”

The Berkeley is just as advertised . It is not in the Old Town but only a few minutes walk away from the harbour. A short bus journey to the Old Town. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Pool clean and not crowded. Breakfast good for this size of hotel. Ideal location for buses, boats and eateries. Room did not have a sea view but that wasn't necessary as the quayside is only minutes away. Our room opened onto a patio and a table and chairs were provided. It was very quiet. Would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it.

“Exceeding Expectations”

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, our rooms were large, air-conditioned with beautiful bathrooms and huge beds. Everything is simply done - no luxury touches, but everthing one would need, including substantial breakfasts. Our teenage children particularly appreciated the pool, and, as the temperature was over 30C every day, it was great to come back to the hotel in the afternoon to cool down. The hotel is well situated for the airport bus & excursions by boat, and a good, but manageable walk from the old city. The Gruz harbour area has several reasonably priced places to eat, and it is fun to walk around in the evening and cast covetous eyes at the super yachts moored up along the quay. The Berkeley definitely exceeded my expectations.

“Good hotel and decent location for Dubrovnik”

The hotel was very good. One bus stop into the old city of Dubrovnik (#8)was within a block the other stop, bus #1, 1a, 1b, was down the hill. Bus.8 ran every 30 minutes and had some great views. it stops at the tram which you can go up giving great views of the old town. Breakfast was good. The hotel has free underground parking. You do have to walk very close to a car wash after you park. The hotel sign was very small and we nearly drove by the hotel. The two gals at the desk were great. They were sisters from Australia.

“Very comfortable hotel”

The Berkeley is a family run hotel. The family and other staff are very friendly and helpful. For a 3 star hotel the rooms are large and extremely comfortable. They include satellite TV, a fridge and kettle. Unusually for a hotel outside of the UK, a lovely "English" breakfast of bacon, eggs and mushrooms is available. Should I ever return to the beautiful town of Dubrovnik, I will definitely stay at the Berkeley again

“Cannot be better!”

This is undoubtedly the best 3-star hotel I have ever stayed in! The breakfast cannot be better, with a hot dish and cold breakfast buffet, and it is excellantly cooked. The omelette I have for 5 days are all nicely made and I never get bored with it. The room is clean and modern, with free internet service. The staff is very friendly. They are very helpful all the time and their english are very good as well. The hotel is very well connected with bus services and there are some very good restaurants nearby. I would recommend Gatto, a pub-restaurant around 5-10 mins on foot from the hotel. The price is reasonable and the food is tasty, with the quantity cannot be imagined with the price I paid for.
