Difficult to fault

Posted 02-Oct-2014
My wife and I chose the Imperial as bed and breakfast accommodation for a four night city break in Dubrovnik to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Without exception every member of staff was delightful. The check in personnel were welcoming on our arrival and were courteous every time we returned to the hotel. The hosts in the executive lounge were very friendly and the waiters at breakfast were unobtrusive and efficient. The hotel went the extra mile in service by dressing our room on our anniversary and by gifting complimentary sparkling wine that evening. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the city and for local buses and taxis if you wanted to go further afield. Too often you stay at higher priced hotels and wonder what you're paying for but this was worth every penny in terms of quality, service and location and we will be happy to return.

Pros: The great service and the wonderful breakfast that is included in the room price.
Cons: larger, more comfortable rollaway bed.
Location: Best location to visit old town, walk the walls and take the cable to the top of the mountain.
Hotel is very close and convenient to old town. Room was spacious with 2 double beds and a rollaway bed for the 3rd person (rollaway was a little small). We did the beach trip through the hotel and received great service. They arranged a taxi to the beach and a boat to come get us. Our chairs and umbrellas were already set up for us at the beach and we were greeted with a delicious fruit juice all compliments of the hotel.

Great location

Posted 15-Sep-2014
The hotel is in great location, so close to the old town. All the staff are polite and nice. Buffet breakfast was not bad. They had two buildings and we were give the other building across from the main one the first night. The room was on the ground floor. It was damp. We changed our room for the next two nights. It was better. I noticed water temperature is not stable when showering. It is a cycle of warm to hot and little cold. Decor in the hotel is a little out dated. Finally, we had free wifi.

Pros: The position for sightseeing was perefct, just outside the city walls.
Cons: Shame there wasn't an outdoor pool but it's a city hotel.
Location: Perfect location!

Great location 2 mins walk from the city walls

Posted 05-Sep-2014
Pros: Large bedrooms, well decorated and furnished throughout. A feeling of luxury!
Cons: There was no bin in our bathroom and after the first day there was no bin liner in the bin in the bedroom. A small thing but it was annoying
Location: Right next it the old city walls with all the Dubrovnik has to offer on the door step
Lovely hotel, great facilities and food. Great customer service and the pool area provided a welcome alternative to sight seeing on the afternoon we had bad weather

Great hotel, a block from the Old Town

Posted 25-Aug-2014
This is an excellent hotel in the best possible location if you want to explore the Old Town. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the rooms are lare and luxurious, and the breakfasts are worthy of a 5-star all-inclusive. Best of all my be the concierge, who not only provides detailed and knowledgable advice and suggestions, but has prepared his own written summaries of all of the most popular excursions. Highly recommended.
