Very comfortable

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: Location and ambience.
Cons: As mentioned earlier the background music needs dumping.
Location: Too much.
Excellent hotel with a great location so close to the Old Town. The only criticism would be the dreadful music played continually over the external speaker system; it just wasn't needed.

Pros: Location, staff, services offered.
We spent four days in Dubrovnik at the Imperial Hotel. Perfect location, great classic hotel with an impeccable staff. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent as well.

Lovely, comfortable hotel near the Old Town

Posted 04-May-2015
We stayed for 4 nights at the Hilton at the end of April 2015. The check in desk staff were helpful and polite. We stayed in a King Guestroom which had a comfortable bed, a large TV and all the usual coffee / tea facilities. Our air conditioning wasn't working but this was sorted out quickly and efficiently when we went out for the evening. We did;t pay for access to the executuve lounge as it was rather small and stuffy, the main lobby bar is much nicer. You have to pay for WiFi access to your room, we found the speed of the WiFi good in the room but public WiFi, was rather slow. Breakfast was really good, at the standard I would expect for a 5 star hotel. Staff in the restaurant were helpful and accommodating. The main attraction of the hotel, however, is the proximity to the Old Town, just 200 yards from the Pile Gate. Within 5 minutes, one can be in the heart of Dubrovnik, with its multitude of restaurants, bars and cultural attractions. The hotel was perfect for the time of the year we went but I think in the peak of summer I would prefer a beachside hotel. All in all, an excellent hotel which is clean and comfortable.

Great hotel, perfect location.

We stayed in a king size room in the villa opposite the main hotel. The rooms were huge and well equipped. The hotel is perfect for exploring the old town, excursion Pick ups and airport shuttles. Breakfast great and free wifi in public areas

Dos días en Dubrovnik

Posted 27-Apr-2015

Visit 17-19 April 2015

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Cons: We asked for a room with a view of the Adriatic and they placed us in a room with no view. It was not full so feel they could have accomodated us.
Location: Cable car and numerous short cruises. The walk of the wall takes about two hours. Had a fabulous at Pruto Restaurant
The hotel is in a great location just 200 meters from old town. The breakfast was exceptional!!!!! The staff was pleasant but could use some work on trying to accomodate guest. I must say though that the people of Croatia are extremely well versed in English and we failed to meet any rude people.

Excellent hotel in excellent location

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: High quality staff, quality of furnishings and location. Breakfasts magnificent.
My wife and I were supposed to spend 7 nights at the Hilton but due to a missed connection we arrived one day late. This caused no problems when we arrived and the reception staff were extremely helpful. We were duly show to a room with a balcony on the first floor but with a poor view of the city. We had executive lounge access, which is on the 4th floor, and the views from this lounge are superb. As a consequence we upgraded to an outstanding room on the executive floor with panoramic sea views all around. Superb! The hotel is positioned in an ideal location to explore the old town as it is only a short walk from the Pile Gate and the historic walls of the city. Inside the walls there are an extremely large number good quality and relatively inexpensive restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. Again superb! Hence we would recommend the hotel to all but suggest you book a room with a sea view.
