Nice Hotel with sea view.

Posted 24-Apr-2015
Pros: It's location and the lovely room and sea view/balcony we had, together with the friendly and efficient staff in all areas of the hotel.
Cons: Nothing in my opinion. We were 100% satisfied with our choice of hotel.
Location: Easy walk or local bus service to the Walled City. Walk around the walls is a must. Cable car to mountain also worthwhile for the views & the history.
Took a 4 night break in Dubrovnik which was our first visit and stayed at the Bellevue Hotel. It was easy to get to the Bellevue on the No 4 bus from the town centre and easy walk of about a mile downhill to the Walled City. The hotel itself was excellently located with Reception from street level on the 5th floor and all the bedrooms with a sea view from the 4th floor downwards. The view from the room and balcony was superb looking over the Adriatic Sea and south facing. There is a small beach below the hotel, accessible by one of the lifts. We found the staff in the hotel very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast offered a reasonable choice of food. We did not dine there for an evening meal as we dined down town. Our room was excellent and well serviced by the staff every morning. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I visited Dubrovnik again.

Perfect for access to everything

I was torn on where to stay in Dubrovnik - in the Old Town, or somewhere on the water. In the end, we opted for water, but found the Hotel Bellevue to offer the best of both worlds. It's about a 10-15 minute walk downhill to the Old Town, so it wasn't too far away to wander down for shopping, touring or meals. And the Bellevue offers a private beach, which the in-town hotels certainly can't offer. And when we didn't feel like wandering in town for something to eat, a delicious bakery and convenient grocery store were located 100-200 meters away. The staff was also very accommodating, arranging for a rental car to be delivered to our hotel for day-tripping. And to avoid the 40 USD taxi ride back to the airport, the car rental agency met us at the hotel and for a small fee (20 euros), drove us to the airport in the car so that we didn't have to go the trouble to turn it back in. This experience is emblematic of the high level of service the Bellevue provides. I would not hesitate to return to this establishment and would recommend it to others seeking to balance beach time with adventure. (PS: we opted for a room with a balcony and it was worth it - an enjoyable experience to snack on delicious pastries from the bakery across the street while overlooking the inlet.)

Hotel war okay

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: Ausblick

Outstanding Hotel - Fantastic Experience

We had 11 nights at the Hotel Bellevue in Dubrovnik, exploring the coast and surroundings from the hotel as our base. Our first night was in a superior double with balcony and sea view. This would have been more than fine for a couple. But we have a toddler in tow.. The Hotel Bellevue Staff were hugely helpful and arranged an upgrade to a suite (with large balcony and sea view) at a very reasonable surcharge. This meant we had more space (2 rooms with an adjoining door), 2 bathrooms (and a brand new cot..). This set the tone for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The Staff are genuinely very friendly (no forced smiles) whether at the reception, the restaurant and bar, room service or spa. The Hotel Bellevue is immaculate and very professionally managed. Breakfast (served in the restaurant or on the terrace with superb views of the beach and surrounding cliffs) is an excellent and varied buffet, supplemented with a la carte choice (at no extra charge). On the 2 occasions we had dinner in the hotel, the food was very decent. The Hotel Bellevue's private beach is definitely a unique selling point. Dubrovnik is not renowned for its beaches - though swimming from the rocky coastline is a pleasure. The Hotel Bellevue is very conveniently located for walks down to "Grad" (Dubrovnik's Old Town) (c.10 mins, with a baby buggy). I don't normally bother writing hotel reviews. But our stay was terrific. When we return to Dubrovnik in a year or 2, I will certainly book again.

Clean modern hotel with a great view

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: Room; breakfast; facilities; staff; pool & location
Cons: We struggled to get the aircon to work consistently.
Location: It is nearer 30 minutes to the Old Town and that is downhill. Its uphill on the way back. Despite that it is really convenient and the buses help.
Stayed for a week. Blessed with great weather the first 5 days and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea was fantastic. Rooms are enormous and well kept. Staff are happy to help and speak good English. The buffet breakfast is excellent.

zentral gelegenes Hotel mit freundlichem Ambiente

Posted 07-Apr-2015

Beautiful sea view hotel - rooms and terrace.

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Friendly mid- sized hotel. Beautiful sea view rooms and breakfast room. Terrace from comfortable bar area and for breakfast/dining weather permitting. Good buffet breakfast with 'extras' - all included. Lovely indoor pool and spa area - as well as beach and terrace below hotel (out of season for us). 15 mins walk to Old City, partly along sea view road. All in all very enjoyable stay.
