Cosy Studio flat

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: Location and comfort
Cons: Nothing
Location: Santa Maria boat tour from the pier, Charlies back packer bar in city centre, Fife restaurant around the corner
Great location, just a two minute walk to the pier and city centre, its located in a picturesque side street, There is a nice balcony where you can relax in the evenings, The landlord hadn't much English but there were plenty of brochures in the room, we used the local guide one which was excellent, there is a great cheap restaurant around the corner called fife, the portions were huge and the fish was grilled not fried. There is also a local supermarket just outside the apartment and plenty of restaurants. Comfortable beds with air-con and also a satellite tv.

Great location. Fantastic staff.

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: The location was perfect.
Clear communication in advance of our stay. Found the place with no problems due to the good instructions. We were met by the hotel owner (Tonka) who was very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags although we were very early. Great service, perfect location and a very comfortable room.

Comfortable studio in an excellent location

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: Location and the fact that the studio is self-contained
Cons: I mostly ate out and only used the kitchen for breakfast, but if I had wanted to cook proper meals I might have needed an extra pot or two.
This is not 5 star luxury but it is comfortable, clean and centrally located (while avoiding the noise of the main drag). Tonka and Ivona (the owners) could not have been more welcoming or helpful, particularly as my evening flight was delayed and I arrived well after midnight. Wi-fi is a plus, if only to communicate with Tonka (who replies instantly to any email query).

All you need in the middle of the Old Town

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly owner, good communication, fairly quick internet speed (WiFi router in room, just over 4Mb/s download speed).
Cons: In common with most of Dubrovnik, there are a *lot* of steps to get to it. No cars are allowed in the Old Town, so you'll need muscles!
Location: Beautiful medieval walled city, island hopping nearby (Mljet, 90 minutes by catamaran, definitely recommended).
Great little place just off Stradun, which runs through the middle of Dubrovnik Old Town. Simple facilities, but clean, comfortable, with everything you need and reasonably priced.

I hated it

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: It's not a hotel
Cons: This apartment is not to the standards of the developed world
Location: Old town is nice
The water gets clogged in the shower. The toilet seat does not match the toilet

I am very sorry that the guests did not have the pleasure to stay in Dubrovnik. The old town is specific and has only two hotels all else being apartments and rooms. Guests lost baggage and were waiting for two days and then had objections to the drain in the bathroom and we know it's Old Town and everything is right but city sewage is 350 years old and it has its own charms .... This apartment is in a great location (in the old town), but is super quite. Very clean, and with all the usual useful facilities, including wifi. Highly recommend.

Nice room in old town Dubrovnik

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: WiFi, location, bed comfort.
Cons: Shower caddy, sink design.
This was a nice apartment to stay in. Small kitchen and bathroom as well as the main room. There is AC and the hosts are very friendly. It is up a cute alley street in an excellent location in Old Town. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable, especially with a light sleeper. The WIFI was great and there was a small area outside the window to hang up clothes to dry. There is no shelf or shower caddy in the shower so it makes using shampoo, shaving , etc difficult. Be careful not to run the kitchen sink at the same time as showering. No wash machine unfortunately. The sink faucet did not reach side of the sink with the drain plug attached so filling the sink to do laundry was difficult.

Basic but clean

Posted 16-May-2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay at Apartment Peppino. It was right in the heart of the old city of Dubrovnik and just a short walk from the airport bus stop. We were allocated the ground floor apartment, which though basic was clean with an on suite shower and kitchen. Although we had to climb a lot of steps to reach it we would be happy to stay there again.

Fantastic location but be aware of the steps

Posted 16-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Dubrovnik is a city for the fit and healthy and if you can't do hundreds of steep steps every day, you might be better to choose another location. Peppino is half way up a steep hillside within the Old Town and is perfectly located - so long as you don't mind dragging your luggage up all those steps. We didn't - we loved it. You are close to everything but in a really quiet and peaceful place. It's hard to believe the action is so near. We had two of the three apartments. The top one has the lovely view but a very small bathroom, the middle floor has no view but a better bathroom. Both have small kitchenette, fridge, oil filled heater, air con, small TV and excellent Wi Fi connection. Towels are changed every second day but the sheets are not changed. As we were there for a whole week, it would have been nice to have the option of fresh sheets half way through. If you are the sort of people who want the room spotless and fresh linens every day, this isn't for you. But if you want a great location at a great price, a really helpful and friendly owner and clean pleasant rooms, then this is the one to go for.
