"Lovely small hotel close to old town"
Situated on a one way, moderately busy road, but overlooking sea and old town. The main door of the hotel comes out directly onto road, opposite excelsior hotel (ugly), but once inside it is not even noticeable. We booked a 2nd floor, deluxe, non smoking room with a city view. It was as described. This hotel was small, ( 9 rooms). There was not always someone in the reception area, which is just a beautifully furnished room with a computer, but to us this did not matter. Our room was very comfortable; rustic, very clean, 4 poster bed, sofa, table & chairs, mini bar, air conditioning, safe, hairdryer and stunning view. Bathroom, modern and good size with a jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was on the outside terrace and hot food cooked to order, but simple fair, very pleasant. There is no bar and only plunge pool size pool, but aplenty of places to sit outside. The 2 young girls who ran reception, served breakfast and cleaned were lovely and keen to help.
If you want a modern,,all singing/ dancing, big impersonal hotel with pool, bar and lots of attention, it's not for you. But if you like small, rustic with a bit of luxury and unobtrusive staff, within easy walk of old town and views this is it. We had a fantastic weeks holiday.
