We loved staying at Grand Villa Argentina. While our room was a bit outdated and could use some improvement (the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), the hotel grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The lounge area and pool looking over the sea were stunning. The staff were helpful, polite, and very accommodating, as well. We asked them to call us a cab early the next morning to take us to the airport and they had a bagged breakfast waiting for us without us even asking! If returning to Dubrovnik, we would stay here again!!
Lovely hotel and spa. Nice outdoor seating and access to swimming in the sea. Old town hotels can't offer that. 800yds to walls of old town. Hotel has nice beach restaurant and excellent food. Good breakfast too.

Hotel is very close and convenient to old town. Room was spacious with 2 double beds and a rollaway bed for the 3rd person (rollaway was a little small). We did the beach trip through the hotel and received great service. They arranged a taxi to the beach and a boat to come get us. Our chairs and umbrellas were already set up for us at the beach and we were greeted with a delicious fruit juice all compliments of the hotel.

The hotel building was beautiful soft stone and the entrance was very attractive with an outdoor dining area and well tended planting. The indoor decor was dark and traditional. The staff were very good, helpful without being intrusive . Breakfast went on until 11am and the choice was good especially fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit and cooked omelets. At times the restaurant and terrace seemed empty, an the terrace bar was not staffed.
The pool area in the rear garden was very attractive, although not too warm.
We only stayed at Hotel Lapad one night, but loved it. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was great with many different options. The pool looked really nice. We were sad we couldn't stay longer.
Hotel Petka is a great place to stay for Dubrovnik. Its right by the harbour where all the boats leave and has a nice supermarket at the harbour and some good restaurants/bakeries/cafes around it. You can catch any of 3 buses to the old town and be there in 10 minutes! OR walking is anywhere between 30-45mins. My room was good and had lots of watch on the tv and good A/C. Breakfast was a good selection and they brought out fresh things often.
