All round excellence

Posted 17-May-2015
Pros: All of the above, View from the room - definitely get a balcony if you can. Quiet both day and night.
Cons: Lift to the beach as it was c200 steps.
Location: About a mile from both the Old Town and the port. Must sees (wall walk, cable car, etc) are in the town with little at the port (except boat trips)
Friendly helpful staff - arrived early (12.15) and allowed immediate access to our room . Clean tidy and well maintained hotel. Breakfast was the usual - cereal, fruit, cheese, meat, various breads and cooked plus additional items on the "Wakenings" menu which are cooked to order. Only downside was the sausages that were not what we're used to in the UK. Evening menu was limited, unless you're into seafood, but of good quality. Prices are similar to the restaurants in the Old Town.

Very nice hotel facing the sea

Posted 09-May-2015
Pros: Clean, very good breakfast and excellent view to the sea, well located too.
Location: On the left, just a few meters away, there is a very good pizzeria and a restaurant which are less expensive than the restaurant at the hotel.
This a lovely stay in expensive Duvrovnik. The hotel was fantastic.

The Best Choice for a room overlooking the ocean

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing that we can suggest
Location: Old Town, Boat trips to the surrounding islands, Kayak rental, using the beach at the hotel
Our room was great overlooking the sea and the private beach. You can leave your terrace doors open and listen to the surf. The staff was very helpful. The desk gentleman called to make arrangements for a couple of different things for us. The buffet breakfast was very good every morning and you had the choice of eating on the outside terrace overlooking the sea. It is a 10 - 15 mn walk from the hotel down to town or to the old town, There is also a bus stop near the hotel.

Perfect for our break

Posted 06-May-2015
Pros: Decent Location
Cons: Part of the metal shutters in front of the sliding door in 105 are not working The hairdryer had seen better days The shower head may need replaced.
Location: N/A
My partner and I stayed at the Bellevue Hotel for 5 nights. The service was good the room with a balcony was good and the reception staff were knowledgeable. The waiters and waitresses especially Valentina proved a credit to your hotel. When the staff realised that it was birthday they even provided a cake! Some tips: the semi-private beach doesn’t get late afternoon / early evening sun, so worship early; the 15 minute walk to the old town is along a busy road, with a narrow footpath so take care there are a few good restaurants nearby the hotel offering as well prepared food as the hotel restaurants. This offers a decent location and was perfect for our break. Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony.

Ein langes Wochenende in Dubrovnik zu zweit

Posted 03-May-2015
Check-In /Check-Out lief sehr schnell und unkompliziert.

soothing views, very comfortable stay

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: an ideal location to enjoy both the seaside & old Dubrovnik
We booked a 5 day stay a couple of days before arrival while on a 2+ week ramble through Croatia & were upgraded to a suite, which was a wonderful surprise. It, and all the rooms, look directly onto the sea from their cliffside perch...beautiful. The hotel, its facilities, its staff, the breakfast & the parking were all without fault. The walls of old Dubrovnik are a short & pleasant walk away. All in all, ideal for us.

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Pros: Lage

Nice hotel but not 5 star

Posted 27-Apr-2015
The hotel is a bit of a walk from where the bus drops you off, a taxi is only about £25-£30 from the airport (not the £45 I read someone put on here!) or the bus is £7 return. The walk only takes about 15 mins but with cases it can be a little tricky. The staff who greeted is were lovely. The hotel is opposite a massive ugly one round the cliff, luckily you can't really see it from the rooms, don't worry the Bellevue isn't the ugly one! Also opposite the hotel is a bakery. We recommend getting breakfast there and don't bother with the hotel as the breakfast was rather disappointing. The fruit was tasteless, the bread small and stale and the toaster didn't really work (not a rotating one im used to from other 5 star hotels). The sausages weren't like nice juicy British sausages either. I only bothered with breakfast twice out of 7 days and then gave up on it. I was surprised considering my friend said the food at the hotel was excellent. We had a club sandwich for lunch and that was nice, but it's hard to muck up a club sandwich isn't it?! We are out at the many lovely pizzerias in the old town, specifically Mea Culpa and Olivia (top marks for both, as good as Italy!) also the restaurant a few door up from the hotel, Magellen I think it was called. Very nice too. The rooms were fine, we paid extra for a balcony which probably isn't necessary, although it was nice, a sea view is a must tho. The wifi in the hotel is excellent but the bed was no where near as comfortable as

I Highly recommend it. Great Spa and indoor pool. Private beach. Restaurant is excellent but overpriced.
