“The Morgan - Perfect spot in Dublin's Temple Bar”
The Morgan is a very cool and funky hotel, with modern decor and friendly staff. As i was checking in, I met someone who has a travel website and radio show, and she was raving about the Morgan as one of her favorites. She also gave me other travel tips for Dublin.... everyone was so friendly, even the guests! I was early, so they stashed my bag and by the time i got back a few hours later, they had delivered it to my room. The room was very comfortable and clean. I never used the mini bar, although they had one that did not seem too expensive. The Irish Breakfast each morning was fantastic, and the cocktail lounge in the evenings was very hip modern and happenin'. I was never there very late at night, but for a few cocktails early one evening, it was the perfect spot. The bartender was knowledgable, enthusiastic and made a great Mojito (so good, i followed it up with a Caipairaihna). The location is perfect, next to the Hard Rock and a few steps from numerous other pubs and shops, as well as street musicians in the evenings. I loved the Quays pub and the Merchant Arch restaurant/pub around the corner. All in all, a great place to stay while in Dublin... it can be noisy if you have the windows open.
“Would stay again”
Only stayed at the Morgan for one night so I don't know that I had the full experience. The location is perfect. City Centre is right there in walking distance. The staff was polite although not overly kind. The room was nice, clean and comfy. Biggest downfall was we had a big problem with the heat not working in our room. It was either freezing or excessively hot.
“Nice but noisy on the weekend”
Check-in was easy and I was upgraded to a bigger room with no charge when I asked for a quiet room which didn't face the street. The elevator was broken but a staff member brought my bag to my room upon request. The room was very white and well kept but the lights were burned out in the stairwell so it was quite dark on the way up to the second floor. The staff was attentive and pleasant and the room was comfortable, but on the weekend, the ground floor is a noisy nightclub and the music and noise can easily be heard on the second floor. They stop playing music at 1 or 2 AM. The location is great, in the heart of the Temple Bar area. Good value for the money but be cautious if you are looking for a quiet room on the weekend.
“Fabulous location, fantastic bar, cool style”
The Morgan is brilliantly located in Fleet Stree, right in the heart of buzzy Temple Bar. Despite the lively surroundings we had no problem with noise and enjoyed 3 good nights' sleep in wonderfully comfy beds in a large and stylish room (a standard twin). There was a sofa and armchair, desk with cool Perspex chair, and a heavenly shower. The styling was all white with silver accessories, which looked good, though did mean a few grubby marks showed up on the furniture. We ate in the bar on our first night and found the food thoroughly enjoyable; cocktails were delicious and about averagely priced. The bar was busy and had great atmosphere on the Friday and Saturday nights. On checkout, the receptionist was friendly and efficient despite reception being really busy, and all the other staff we encountered were really nice and helpful. We got a really good package deal for our trip with Expedia and were happy with our experience - the location and the young fun vibe are winners!
“Lovely hotel, great location and excellent value”
Our room was really nicely furnished and decorated, the hotel looks smart and in our room we found everything we needed - broadband, hair dryer, iron and board, kettle, coffee and tea... The Temple Bar area can be a little noisy, but on the upside you have everything on your doorstep - and the airport bus only five mins walk away.
“Some Issues”
The hotel was generally very nice and in a convenient location. The bed was really comfortable and the staff was friendly. What ruined a near perfect experience was the room temperature which was uncomfortably hot. The window was screwed shut so we could not get any cooler outside air. They did send up a fan for us, but it was still much too uncomfortable to sleep. I mentioned the problem again at checkout and they did not seem overly concerned. The other thing that was a bit of a problem was the shower (which was very pretty to look at) leaked all over the bathroom floor and caused quite a flood. I don't think the doors connected right at the bottom.
“Location, Location, location--pros and cons”
Great hotel. Very friendly customer service with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very accommodating --Allowed a very early check-in with no problems. Also kept my bags after checkout until I left that eve for my flight. This hotel is in the heart of Temple Bar--note, great location, but loud! Not the hotel's fault, but Sunday night I expected it to be quiet, but the hotel bar and the Temple Bar area rocked on until around 3am. Unfortunately, no air conditioning in the room and it was needed (guess I went at a great time of year for great weather --July 4) thus windows had to be open and the noise was very loud--I even sleep with earplugs. Again, great hotel, nice staff, awesome bathroom (updated) , great location, but loud and no AC.
“Very Over priced!”
Beware this hotel has no air conditioning, and with the rooms being quite small it was very hot and stuffy!! Windows do not open very wide so had to ask for a fan! Fantastic location and staff were extremely helpful, prices of drinks in the hotel were reasonable. Due to being so close to all the action, it was quite noisy. Overall I thought the hotel was ok but didnt feel it was good value for money!
“Unexpected surprise....and a lot of Honesty”
The hotel is in the heart of the happening street. Its very close to everything considering we had only 2 days there. It was an unexpected surprise. i left my diamond earrings and i called that afternoon from Cork, when i got back 2 days later, they had it in an envelope for me!!! I cant thank them enough. If you can stand the noise, its where one should stay. Our room window overlooked Fleet Street and it was great to just people watch on a saturday night. Would definately stay there again.
“The Morgan - Nice but Not Worth the Price”
It's hard to say if things were "as expected" as we stayed at The Morgan on St. Patrick's night. Our room was ready for us, but the room itself wasn't near as nice as I was expecting for the price - there were missing tiles in the bathroom, the mirror was cracked & reglued together, and a section of the carpet/tile entry into the bathroom was missing, exposing floor beams from below. The hotel was very noisy - yes, it was St. Patrick's - but even it wasn't, I could still easily hear the TV from my neighbor's room. The pluses were that the staff was VERY friendly and accommodating - very, very good staff.

Temple Bar - Dublin Castle, Dublin, Ireland: This small enclave by the river was developed into Dublins Cultural Quarter in the 1980s, and soon became the citys nightlife centre. Temple Bar is still devoted to eating, drinking, entertainment, and shopping. By day, its an arty alternative hangout; by night, groups of partying tourists make it a rowdier haunt. Near the famous Hapenny Bridge, Merchants Arch retains some of the areas atmosphere from a century or so ago.
