“very noisey outside bedroom window”
very noisey outside bedroom window
“Camden Court Hotel”
On the plus side: Well appointed setting. Our room was fine if a little over heated for August. The staff were all friendly. The complementary free parking in the basement is a nice perk. The swimming pool is also a definite winner. Caution - if you have hair you MUST wear a cap for which the charge will be 2 euro. The locker is another returnable euro. On the minus side: Breakfast prices were, I thought, extortionate: 13 euro each whether one had a full Irish or simply croissant. Not good if you have picky kids on board. Triple egg omelette brekkie in the cafe outside proved a much better deal. Our third floor room [overlooking the road] was a problem at night. We stayed over Saturday and Sunday nights and the all-night decibels from wassailing young men below on the streets were very disruptive. We had the windows open to relive the overheated bedroom, but had to shut to keep out the noise. Even then we only reduced it by 50%. Windows need another look. The walk into Temple Bar is about 20 mins. The walk to the college and Stephen's Green about ten.
“Convenient and safe location, quite a decent hotel”
We've chosen this hotel based on traveler's reviews and we were quite satisfied.
“Will stay there again”
Good location in quiet area close to city center.
“Would stay again”
Spent 3 nights in Dublin (checked in July 5th and out on July 8th, 2011) and had very enjoyable stay. The Hotel is a bit of a walk from Liffey and Temple Bar, but for family with 2 kids, it was perfect distance from night scene. Staff were excellent and kids enjoyed indoor pool each night, although they were upset that jacuzzi was off limits to anyone under 16.
“Nice little hotel”
Well maintained hotel with a very nice staff and close enough to most attractions, yet not so close to the business of the city. About a half mile walk to the action. Restaurant and bar are both good options in a pinch.
“Good hotel, great service”
We had a very pleasant stay at the Camden Court Hotel. Service great, rooms adequate and clean, fitness center and pool a great addition after a long day touring. Only downsides is that it a little bit out of the way and the rooms are not air conditioned. Great value would stay here again.
“Within Walking Distance”
Hotel was within 10-15 minute walk to most places of interest. Room was clean and adequate. Noise outside hotel was quiet disturbing at night. Bring your earplugs!
“Nice Hotel”
Very nice hotel, room was spacious and clean. Bed's were comfortable. Hallways need attention. Large sitting area in lobby. Parking at hotel. Great value for the price. Nice bar area. Walking distance to most attractions.
“Good hotel”
This place was good. Maybe more expensive than it should have been, but no problems. Room was clean, people were friendly. Its about a 10minute walk to St. Stephens green, so not terrible.
