Nice hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Room nice size, comfy, quiet. Friendly staff, accommodating. Breakfast limited (full English not very full) but tasty, served to 11 am. Situated about a 5 min walk from town centre (no local amenities in immediate area). Checkout time midday. No complaint about hotel at all. Served us well for 2 nights and would stay again.

Lovely ambience.

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Just a simple map so non taxi people can find this gem of a hotel.
Location: Writers museum, walked to Temple Bar-brilliant! Close to everything
Initial difficulty locating hotel (we were walking from Airport bus) -perhaps suggest a map included with booking form, but once we found it, brilliant. Great comfy room, happy friendly staff, magnificent brecky and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended. WILL stay again.

First time visit to Dublin

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast - good value for money.
Cons: The only negative thing was the view from our window, but not a lot can be done about this!
Location: Good reasonably central location. Close to Garden of Remembrance, Dublin Writers Museum and the James Joyce Centre.
Staff very helpful. We arrived well before check-in time hoping to leave our luggage behind the reception desk, but were in fact able to check in to our room as it was ready - a pleasant surprise. The staff were always helpful and pleasant. Good central location - easy to access airport transfer bus and tour buses, and also within walking distance of some attractions. Only negative thing was the view from our window which looked out over the bins, but overall very happy with our stay.

Great for a family of four

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Pros: Spacious room, helpful staff.
Cons: Add more towel bars or hooks. Not enough for four bath towels to hang and dry.
Location: Just off O'Connell Street, a major boulevard, and fairly close to Airlink airport shuttle stop (€10 round trip) Garden of remembrance very close by.
Finding a room with beds for four isn't easy, but this hotel exceeded expectations. In particular, the room was quite spacious, and even with four twin beds and a small table with two chairs, there was plenty of space. The bath was likewise spacious, on a par with US dimensions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast quite good, €10 or 8 if you purchase ahead. Irish bacon and Wheetabix: a real breakfast of champions. The hotel more than earns its recommendation from Rick Steve's, which we relied on.

Very reasonable price. Although the hotel room facilities were lacking e.g. One roll of toilet paper, near empty shampoo and no soap. The staff were very friendly but we were awoken by drilling noises in the hotel at 07:30am. Also no residence bar.

Good location and for those on a budget

Posted 20-May-2014
Pros: Location to the city
Cons: There is still a hint of smoke from previous times of when smoking was allowed.
Location: Near the writers museum, cinemas, pubs and supermarkets.
Clean and comfortable hotel, good location for accessing shopping at the north end of O'Connell Street. My room was clean and tidy.

Generally nice

Posted 05-May-2014
Pros: Very good location
Cons: A bit dated decor
Location: Very close to all buses, especially hop-on hop-off buses, shops, pubs and many tourist attractions. Beautiful Parnell Square nearby and church.
Very convenient location, right in the city centre but off the main street so not too noisy. The room was spacious and the en-suite was clean. Quite a bit dated and the advertising banners hanging on the wall outside the room were making noise when it was windy. Generally a pleasant stay for a short break in a lovely city.

Run down hotel in Dublin

Posted 15-Mar-2014
The hotel was run down, rooms could do with some TLC. It was a good location only 5 minutes from O'Connell Street & 10 mins from Temple Bar Area. We got this room for an excellent price.
