“Could not Wait to Check out”

I travel the world and this is by far one of the two worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Front desk service was horrible, it was as if they were doing you a favor. Rooms generally filthy, we moved several rooms before we found one clean enough to stay the night because it was very late. Checked out the second day as most hotels in area was fully booked. A stark contrast was the restaurants: Great service and food. Wish someone had warned me about this nightmare of a hotel so I could have run the other direction.

“Not bad”

The food was way overpriced. The tv selection left much to be desired (stayed at other hotels in Ireland with much better selections). Wish I had known the Dublin airport bus went right by the hotel - I could have saved megabucks!

Area recommendations

Visitors would be much better of staying in the downtown area. I only chose this hotel because my tour was using it.

Traveller's tip

Take the airport bus to this hotel - do NOT take a taxi. The bus stops right next to the hotel and you will save a bundle.

“Nice hotel but hard to find”

The hotel was nice, the room was clean, but the place was hard to find. Even though I had two navigation systems with me, neither one could find the hotel and I had to stop to get directions from a local.

“Excellent hotel”

An excellent hotel, with a clean and comfortable room. Great value compared with other hotels in Dublin. However, it was further away from UCD, where I was working, than I thought it would be - 20-25 minute walk.

“Lovely Place”

This hotel was lovely. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are quite nice and very comfortable. It is a few kilometres from the city centre, but it is an easy and cheap bus ride. You can also walk, though it takes a couple of hours. It is located near Bray. Bray is an amazing little town that is a 25 minute bus ride from the hotel. I highly recommend checking out Bray.

“Too far out of town”

For this price there are plenty of options closer to town than this hotel. The wifi arrangements they have make it impossible to quickly hop on and check EMail. It takes some time to get connected.

“Would go back”

Extremely comfortable hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Although about 20 minutes out of the city, it is on a very frequent bus route so we didn't move the car for 3 days. Just bought a 3 day pass instead. Our package was room only so can't comment on the dining room or food. Got a much better deal booking through expedia than direct with the hotel. Can recommend.

“Nice location”

I have stayed at this hotel before and like it for a number of reasons. For Dublin, it's relatively inexpensive-- you get more for your money than if you stayed in central Dublin. Being outside of the city centre, it's also quiet. There's a shopping center across the road, about a 10 minute walk, which has a small cafe and a grocery store, convenient for buying food. And it's only about 20-30 minutes into the city centre by bus (E1.80). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there is complementary internet-- everything I want in a hotel!

“Beautiful Hotel and Wonderful Hotel Staff”

The staff at the hotel was amazing. Being tourists, every morning when we went down to the lobby we had questions about different tourist spots, restaurants and how to use the buses. The staff answered all our questions to the very last detail. Everyone at the hotel was kind and understanding. I recommend this hotel to everyone!! We loved it!!

The food is expensive in Dublin, Ireland as compared to the US. We ended up eatting at Subway a lot, because it was cheap!
