An excellent base from which to visit Dublin.

Posted 26-Jul-2015
Pros: It's quite classy and is affordably priced. It's also tranquil, used by lots of business people.
Cons: The windows have 2-way hinges, allowing each window to open by leaning inwards from the top or by swinging inwards from the side: ours were all faulty
Reception: always a warm greeting, combined with efficiency and very helpful advice. Foyer and public areas: plenty of stylish clean comfortable annexes in which to relax. Rooms: comfortable, spacious, and quite well-equipped. Meals: excellent food, whether pub-grub in the bar or cuisine in the restaurant. Breakfast, especially the full-Irish, was a real treat. There's also a steakhouse next door. Parking: acres of space. Transport: only twenty minutes from Dublin centre by tram (ie the Luas light-railway). The tram station, called Red Cow, is only 10 minutes away on foot, and still only 20 minutes away for my elderly knee-replaced parents-in-law. A flexi-ticket for the tram is very cheap, enabling unlimited tram journeys for the day into, around, and back from, Dublin. These tickets are vended by machines on the platform. The machine's menu is simplicity itself to follow, and payment is accepted using credit and debit cards.

It was further out than I expected.

The entry is hard to find when on foot - you need to walk to the end of the far building and around the side to get into lobby - the staff was pleasant enough just not the extra mile. Rooms are dated but the bathrooms have been nicely updated -

The hotel was comfortable and very clean! The staff were not the friendliest but our time in Dublin made up for that.

very good hotel with good links to dublin

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: good outside apperarence, value for money, nothing to much trouble for staff, internal deco in very good condition, ample car parking and it is free
Cons: nothing really.
Location: location is out of town but within easy reach, with a choice of car, tram or bus linking to the train, not much to do nearby, eating in or out good .
near to airport, good links to dublin, staff were very helpfull with problems that arose i.e. brokern eye glasses, food wonderfull , so much choice and very good service, clean rooms, would stay again.

2 week honeymoon stay

Posted 05-Jul-2015
We stayed at Red Cow for 15 days on our honeymoon, it was our first trip to Ireland. The room was great!, nice, clean and spacious!!! The breakfast was amazing!!! Would highly recommend the eggs florentine. The close proximity to Luas made it very easy for us to pop down to Dublin. The location just outside of Dublin was very convenient for our day trips out around the country. Have a steakhouse and even night club on site! The staff (all of them! Front desk, the breakfast dining area, the bar and house keeping) were all beyond nice, helpful and just brilliant people. We hated to leave at the end of our holiday. Would definitely recommend Red Cow to anyone traveling either for holiday or business.

Nice, but a little too warm.

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: Cleanliness and helpful staff.
Cons: Better AC units. Better mattresses.
Location: Approx. 10 miles from Dublin with a fairly long walk to get on train into town. Lots to do in Dublin; wish we had more time.
We stayed at Red Cow Moran from 6/15-6/17 and overall we had a pleasant stay. However, the AC was broken upon arrival and they couldn't fix it the first day, but did fix it on the second day. Even with AC "fixed" we were hot and sweating in bed at night (unseasonably warm for this time of year). The beds were "fairly" comfortable, but we have had better. The hotel was clean and the continental breakfast was good.

Nice hotel to stay in

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: NA
Location: Tram ride into the city centre
Cheap price compared to other hotels and only a short tram ride to the city centre.
