Weekend in Dublin

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: Home feel, welcoming feel
Cons: Some facilities are a bit old
Location: In the right place for what we wanted
Stayed for two days over a weekend. Very comfortable and staff were fantastic and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel Very good value for money, on St Stephens Green, right in the heart of Dublin. I have stayed at The Merrion before and this was so much better and cheaper. You're doing nothing wrong

Excellent location

Great stay for 2 nights. Just a 5 min walk to the bottom of Grafton street and a walk across the green to the sightseeing bus stops . Did not have breakfast as wanted to go out. Staff very friendly only had one issue when they only set our room key cards for one day and not two . Would recommend if you can get a deal price.

Ok....ish, but stayed at better.

Pros: The singer in the. Bar on Saturday night
Cons: See above
Not overly impressed. Room ok, food ok, but poor choice in the bar and restaurant not available on first night. Staff ok, but at times it felt as though they'd rather be somewhere else( particularly the bar and breakfast staff). No car parking a drawback. Paid €20 and €28 respectively for overnight parking. I would not recommend this hotel.

Nothing Special

Only good thing is the location to be honest. For the money it was very disappointing. Bar was huge and could be potentially great, but it needs a makeover.

Acceptable for the price

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Close to shopping and restaurants.
Cons: Light the hallways.
Location: Near Temple Bar area. Safe neighborhood.
Parking was an issue. The parking was several blocks away-very inconvenient and not disclosed on their website. We were aware there would be a charge but it was payable to the garage, not to the hotel, also not disclosed. Hallways were narrow and poorly lit. Room and bathroom clean but not immaculate. Mold in the shower/tub area.

Such friendly staff

Pros: The central location. The staff.
Location: Right in the centre of town, on Stephen's Green. There are many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, and even a small supermarket.
I chose this hotel for its central location on Stephen's Green, for a weekend visit to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to help make our stay more enjoyable.

Disappointing

Posted 24-Jun-2014
Pros: Location.
Why no mini bar? No fridge, tap water undrinkable (we did and regretted it). Well located but a little shabby and our room had a terrible odor and something gave my finance hives.

Central location and friendly staff

The hotel is well located. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Facilities are limited and showing signs of their age. The breakfast is not as good as it used to be- more limited range.
