Perfect in every way!

Pros: Everything! The central location made it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. But most importantly the staff made us feel very welcome and breakfa
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Location: Very near the centre without being busy and noisy. Ideal for connections by bus and tram and with plenty of taxis close by.
We, and two friends, stayed at the O'Callaghan Stephens Green for 3 nights over the New Year period 2014/15 and none of us could find any fault whatsoever with this hotel. The staff on reception gave us a warm and friendly welcome on arrival and the duty manager offered advice and guidance of places to visit and see during our stay - all gratefully received as we had never visited Dublin before. Our rooms on the fifth floor were spacious, very clean and provided all the facilities we needed, including a bathtub which my wife always insists upon! Breakfast was served in the glass atrium - and I mean served. Hot food had to be ordered from the menu which meant that everything was freshly prepared and cooked, a rarity in many other hotels we have stayed in where food is left to stew in warm cabinets. The choice of food varied from the traditional full Irish, to pancake stacks with fresh fruit and waffles with a similar topping - absolutely delicious. Waiting staff were very efficient and courteous as were the staff in the bar when we ventured in for a night cap - or two! The entire hotel seemed spotlessly clean and the staff appeared keen to keep everything looking neat and tidy. We were all delighted that we had picked this hotel for our stay and would not hesitate in recommending to others or even returning ourselves.

Excellent location very comfortable room

Only two negatives. Breakfast on Sunday was chaos. Not enough staff or tables. Staff door clanging from 6am which really disturbed our sleep each morning. Everything else excellent.

Lovely looking hotel just yards from Grafton Street. Modern, clean, light and spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was available early which was useful.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Dublin. It's convience alone saves a lot on cab fares. The staff were helpful at all times. It's nice for business or pleasure.

Nice hotel, great location

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: No view from room
Location: Stephen's Green, Temple Bar and great shopping were only steps away from the hotel lobby.
I really enjoyed this hotel experience. The location was perfect for exploring Dublin. The hotel staff was exceptional in helping with directions and suggesting places to go and see. Breakfast was delicious as well.

Good location for night and day attractions

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Location and size of the bed.
Cons: Clarity about breakfast options if this is not included
Location: Run to the Grand Canal & to Liffey - its 10 minutes away You can walk to the Guiness Storehouse in 30 minutes ...shorter than the tour bus journey
Breakfast was not included. We were aware of this and when we went for breakfast we were prepared to pay. This seemed to be a problem, explanation of what we could have was confused and we were seated in the back room. The menu had no prices. We walked out and found something down the street. However everything else was very good about our experience at the hotel.

Room comfortable but no character. Breakfast chaotic. Could not get cold water out the taps and although could by bottled water at reception not cold and no where to chill it - we were in a suite!
