“Must be one of the best in Dublin”
Perfect location for us in a quiet area but within 5/10 minutes walk of Grafton St. Very friendly staff, excellent service clean comfortable room. Difficult to fault in any way. The Bistro was rather expensive but not above the norm in Dublin. The Bar food was very good value again with excellent friendly service.
“Excellent room, perfect location.”
The hotel is in the prefect location for what we wanted - access to Grafton St (3 mins walk) and Temple Bar (about 8 mins walk). It overlooks St Stephens Green and we took advantage of this, relaxing on a park bench and watching the world go by. The walk to/from the Aircoach stop was about 5 mins. The hotel itself is smart, modern, clean and tidy. The staff that we met were all very helpful and friendly (we didn't eat or drink in the hotel and so can't comment on teh restaurant or bar). Our room was in the new part of the hotel and was excellent - modern and clean, with a massive bed and a bathroom to die for. The a/c (often an issue in hotels) was very effective. Although the hotel is located in a fairly busy part of the city, our room was at the back and so there was no issue with night-time noise (although it's far enough away from Temple Bar that rowdiness wouldn't be an issue, anyway). Overall, highly recommended and we will certainly stay there the next time we're in Dublin.
“Excellent Hotel”
Hotel was in a very convient location. 2 minute walk to graffton street. Adjcent to St. Stephens Park. Shuttle bus to airport (which runs every 15min) was a 5 minute walk from hotel, was very walkable even with large suitcase. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Valerie at the front desk. Street the hotel is on was quiet, but a short walk puts you in the middle of everything. Very comfortable room and bed. Would stay at again and would highly reccomend.
“Great location! Great customer service!! I'll stay there again!!”
This is the second time I've been to Dublin and I've stayed at this hotel both times. The location is outstanding as it is close to shopping, pubs, the visitor center and transportation lines. Stephen's Green is beautiful and well maintained. It is within walking distance to Trinity College (and the book of Kells) and many museums. It is also within walking distance of Temple Bar which is a fun place to visit; however, I would not stay there due to the constant evening noise. This hotel gives you the best of both worlds.
“Ideal base for a visit to Dublin. Will definitely go back soon!”
This is a great hotel offering very high standards at sensible prices. The bedrooms were excellent and had everything - huge bed, large TV, fridge, safe, coffee & tea facilities, iron & ironing board and even a range of every conceivable type of wall socket. The ensuite bathroom was immaculate and as expected had a full range of toiletries. The hotel is ideally situated in a corner of St Stephens Green - just a pleasant strol away from Grafton Street and the famous Bewleys Coffee House. There are other O'Callaghan Hotels in Dublin - so make sure you tell the taxi driver to head for St Stephen's Green!!
“Great location”
Right on the edge of Stephens Green, a great location and close to a nice shopping area. Far enough away from Temple to be quiet but close enough to walk. Friendly staff but you do have to pay for WiFi which was not good, perhaps that might change.
“Quality, Comfortable Hotel”
My fiancee and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a short Dublin break. Breakfast wasn't included but the bed was so comfortable we probably wouldn't have got up in time for it anyway. We were in a newly renovated part of the hotel so I can't speak for the quality of the rooms in the older parts but ours was spot on. The location was great being right on the corner of St Stephens Green, about 2 mins walking time from Grafton Street. It's not that cheap a hotel but Dublin is an expensive city and I think you'd struggle to find as clean and comfortable a hotel that's as well located for the money. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to book St Stephens Green again, it's an excellent 4 star hotel.
“Great location and very friendly staff.”
This was a great location and we found a very friendly and helpful staff. The LUAS station is across the street and the DART is only a short walk. Definitely convenient to all center city sites. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The only downside was the hotel breakfast, which we though was overpriced and incomplete. Only ate there once in 8 days. Overall, we'd recommend this hotel and location.
“not bad”
i stayed for a long weekend with my mother in July. Hotel is in the best location walking distance to Grafton Street is about 1 minute!! Lovely rooms only problem breakfast is so so so so overpriced only did this only extortionate amount of money for just breakfast much better to go to local cafe for breakfast. apart from that everything excellent would definately return again..
“Highly Recommended”
This is a fantastic hotel and highly recommended to anyone visiting Dublin. It was in a perfect location, within a 5 minute walk to the shopping/restaurant areas. The hotel staff were amazing and extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. Everyone in the party would definitely go back for another visit.
