“Good location”

Central location, close to supermarkets and public transports. The room was big and comfortable. The windows were big which bring lots of light to the room. Will stay there again in my next trip to Dublin.

“Soso”

The hotel was okay, the desk staff wasn't overly friendly. Some of the area around the hotel looked a little questionable to walk around in after dark.

Getting around
The roads coming into Dublin from the airport were crazy. I don't recommend trying to drive in the city.

“Good location for getting to and from airport and seeing Dublin”

Easy to get to from the airport with Dublin Bus. The bus has a stop just round the corner from the Hotel on O'Connel Street. Depending on how long you are in the city get a 3 day visitors ticket from the airport on way our to the bus that includes the open top tour of Dublin. O'Connel Street just round the corner and easy to walk down to the river and over to the other side. Really excellent restuarant not far away on Capel Street called Wolfes. Hotel perfect for short stay, utilitarian but nothing wrong with that for the price. Beds comfortable all you need.

Area recommendations
We were there for football at the Aviva stadium whihc is impressive. Other than that recommend the open top bus tour as that gets you round Dublin and the Guiness Storehouse experience which was the highlight of the trip. Wasn't particularly impressed with the Temple Bar area which everyone raves on about, very touristy, expensive and I didn't think particularly attractive. If you want to see something Art Deco and quirky the Cafe En Seine in Dawson Street is really worth stopping in for a coffee, drink or snack.

“Satisfied customer”

The hotel is very conveniently located. The area is a bit rough and loud but good security in hotel you need to use your room card to call elevaor and even to use washroom on 2nd floor where resturant is. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in resturant was not very good. But overall it is central to everything and there is a great bookshop opposite called Chapters(not part of the chain) they have great selection of vintage books and have second floor full of reasonably priced secondhand books. Unfortunately as a traveller i was limited to how many I could buy. There is also a Tesco across street and you can get great sandwiches or foods of your choice.

“Good location in the centre of Dublin”

This hotel is very convenient for everything in the centre of Dublin. It is off the North end of O'Connel Street which has become slightly tatty but don't let that put you off. The staff were very friendly and the staff in the bar (2nd floor) were happy to put the television on to Sky Sports so we could watch a football match we wanted to see. The corridors and rooms are sparse but very comfortable and clean. We availed of the free safes in Reception which was very useful.

Area recommendations
The buses are very easy to use in Dublin. There is a central bus office on the West side of O'Connel Street opposite the Savoy Cinema which can give you advice. We caught the local bus from the airport which took us to O'Connel Street (went on to Lower Abbey Street) which was much cheaper than the airport express coach. Dublin Zoo is a wonderful zoo and well worth a visit.

“No a bad stay at all”

The hotel itself was fine. Just dont get confused with the other two Jury's inn's in Dublin like we did when we couldnt find the place. There are three in dublin. Room and service was great, but despite advertising that the hotel has parking, it does not so you need to add that cost to your stay which can be quite expensive over night if you are staying for a few days. The hotel does offer a reduced rate for this but it is still expensive and the car park is down the road. After travelling for 24hrs the last thing you will want to be doing is lugging suit cases up the street. Could not fault the hotel otherwise. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the bar was nice. we did not use the internet.

“First Visit to Dublin”

Jurys Inn on Parnell was a good choice for me. It was my first visit to the city and it was well located for a tourist. I was able to walk to the river and over to Trinity College on the other side. Opposite the hotel is a bustling restaurant where you can get a "Full Irish" breakfast, and an enormous bookshop called "Chapters" (not related to the Canadian chain) with new books on the ground floor and used books upstairs. The hotel room was basic but good value for money; the bar and restaurant were very good but not busy. I would recommend it.
