    “Good all round hotel”

I stay regularly at this Hilton. It is very well placed for the Luas (Dublin tram). Although my room looked out onto the tram it was very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't have breakfast this time, but have in the past, and it is really good quality for a buffet style breakfast. It is a business hotel, but because of its friendliness and convenient location, I wold tend to stay there for personal visits as well.

“A wonderful hotel, great for relaxing.”

The hotel is conveniently located near the Luas which takes you right into the Dublin city center. The city center is also within a walkable distance. The check-in process was quick and easy. The room clean and the bed is so comfortable! Food in the hotel is also delicious. The only complain we have is the internet. It was actually very slow. But overall, it was a comfortable stay.

    “Very Comfortable”

Dublin Hilton is exceptionally well run. Staff are very friendly and helpful. the buffet breakfast has absolutely everything you could look for. The hotel is central in terms of the greater Dublin but the main city streets are not outside the door and are a few blocks away, which is great if you are looking for a quiet neighbourhood. Otherwise it is a 15 minute walk to Stephens Green or there is a LUAS light rail station outside the hotel door and they usually run every 5 minutes. The Hotel sells LUAS tickets also! Worth staying - there are no bad points about the hotel.

    Area recommendations
Dublin is full of historical attractions, great pubs and restaurants. Temple Bar is for the main tourist nightlife but the classier restaurants are off Grafton St, Dawson St, Wicklow St and Suffolk St. A great Italian restaurant near the Hilton is Little Ceasars on Talbot St - just 5-10 minutes walk. History - Dublin Castle and St Patricks Cathedral are a must. Novelty - The Guinness Storehouse visitor centre - interesting and a great roof top bar but this is not a brewery tour! Book your tickets online, they are cheaper. Shopping - Grafton St and Henry St

“Near St. Stephen's Green, just a train ride away...”

We stayed here for two nights. ROOM PROS - clean, plenty of amenities. CONS - watch out for minibar charges and phone charges LOCATION PROS - near St. Stephen's Green and near Air Coach bus station for rides to and from DUB airport. Pub just down the street, easy access to rail. CONS - nothing but a Pub down the street and everything else is a train ride away STAFF PROS - nice and friendly, very accommodating with my needs CONS - nothing OVERALL Dublin Hilton is a great hotel with a great bed and breakfast option that was included with my expedia trip itinerary. Breakfast included a full breakfast buffet that included hot and cold options, breads, pastries, and occasionally ordered pancakes (which looked like crepes) and an omelet. All in all, was a great hotel, away from the business of Temple Bar and St. Stephen's Green but still close enough to visit using the train. The train ride is only 3 euros each way but the time on the ticket expires after a two hours, so be aware of that. You could always walk but it does take 20 minutes from the hotel. I would stay here again if I booked with expedia.

St. Stephen's Green shopping centre, St. Stephen's Green park, Temple Bar, Trinity College, St. Patrick's Church, Dublinia, Christ Church Cathedral, Leo Burdocks (best fish and chips EVER!), The Vathouse Restaurant and Pub (great Irish bands playing old Irish folk songs), Guinness Storehouse.
    When to go
We went this October, so not so many tourists around and it was easy to navigate without the hassle of many people on the streets. Also the weather was cold and rainy, just the way I like it.
    Getting around
Walking is your best bet. Everything is relatively walking distance and this way, you don't miss hidden cobble streets with great food and great pubs. It's not hard to navigate through this city at all. Buses, the DART (which we didn't have to use) and rail are easily accessible. We walked the whole time and did all the excursions we chose in Dublin in 1 day.
    What to pack
In October, be sure to pack like it's raining and cold. A jacket was definitely a life saver as well as an umbrella. The rain is not very hard, it's more of a misty rain and then goes away which is good. Pack good walking shoes and make sure you invest in a good map. There are maps readily available at the stores on St. Stephen's Green but if you want to plan ahead and get a good map, make sure it has all the street names and is updated. Don't forget a scarf and beanie.
    Must see
Temple Bar, St. Stephen's Green, Guinness Storehouse, Dublinia, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Trinity College.
    Shopping
St. Stephen's Green definitely has some great shops from high end to low end.
    Dining
The Vathouse Restaurant and Pub has great bangers and mash accompanied with great Irish music. Also you HAVE to try Leo Burdock's. They have the BEST fish and chips ever.
    Nightlife
Temple Bar is your best bet filled with clubs, pubs, and lounges. Walking around is also entertaining and as you stumble across cool locals and live music playing everywhere. You won't be bored and you definitely will find a place to sit and relax with a pint of Guinness.

    “Needs a refit”

Having driven past this hotel on a number of occassions during previous visits to the city we thought we would give it a try. Basicly - DONT! Unless you are a very sound sleeper. The hotel sits alongside the new Dublin tram system and from 05:00 until 01:00 they operate every 6 mins which is a total nightmare, if you want to sleep. Reception excellent, food excellent but the noise......

    Area recommendations
Dublin is much more tidy and cleaner than years ago but still at flith pit. In the centre go to O'Neils Bar, the most important place to visit and see a great combination of locals and tourists interacting/ Great beers, great food and in the best part of the city. We have gone there for years and it just gets better!
    Getting around
Use the new tram system - it is great.

    “love ireland”

This is a great hotel for a Hilton. Great rooms. Clean, washcloths, but no top sheets. Wonderful people to deal with. Food was good. Loved it. Took the tram into town, and walk back. Easy. Great location. Parking. Wonderful place

“Clean, efficient stay at the Hilton”

Hilton Dublin is a great hotel in walking distance from Temple Bar ( the heart of Dublin) and also in walking proximity from the Guinness storehouse and St Patricks Cathedral. Clean and friendly with a great buffet breakfast. Our room wasn't ready for over an hour after check in time but we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar which was pleasant of them.

“Great Hotel, Very Comfortable, Very Friendly Staff”

We enjoyed a greay weekend in Dublin staying at the Hilton. True its a 10 minute walk to St Stephens Green or a small fare on the tram which is adjacent to the hotel. Its also a little further from the airport being south of the city (@ €35 in a taxi, ok if 4 sharing). But its all you expect from an Hilton. From the check-in to check out everything was efficient and staff very friendly. We got a great price on a King Room with Expedia, which was extremely comfortable with even a few complimentary items in the room, the room was very spacious and clean. The KIng size bed was fantastic after a hard days sight seeing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Temple Bar, The bar area large and comfortable. All and all a great hotel.

    Area recommendations
For great music and food then its Temple Bar. We particually enjoyed The Old Store House. The food was good, plenty of space and some great bands to enjoy. Kilmainham Goel is a must, brush up on your Irish history before you go to get the most of the history being shared by your tour guide. Use the Hop On Hop Off Dublin Bus to get about, avoid the Multi-Lingual buses for some good old Irish Blarney from the driver during the tour.

“Not up to the usual Hilton standard”

The hotel served a purposed, it gave us somewhere clean to stay, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the walk into the city centre (Grafton Street) is about 20 minutes which we were happy with. There wasn't anything wrong with the hotel but if you didn't know which hotel you were staying in you'd guess Premier Inn, not a Hilton. The only other complaint is the noise, the side of the hotel we were on overlooks the tram lines which run very late and very early, and you can hear them even with the windows shut. My overall review would be average, if you just need somewhere to sleep and can get a good price, go for it.
