Close to town centre but

Posted 23-Jul-2015
Hotel is in a very good location if you come without car as the car park isn't big enough Also, if you get a front room, be aware of the noise from both the tram and a close by nightclub Otherwise, it is 10 minutes walk to centre

Nice hotel but

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Pros: Friendly staff
Location: within 10 -15 minutes walking distance of temple bar area
not a 4*. Great helpful staff but room was very small, noisy and hot. We had a room at the front of the hotel and the trams stop outside as do the drunk people from the club just down the street! As it was the middle of summer when we stayed and boiling we needed to have the window open (no air conditioning at the hotel) so this didn't help with the noise issue. Unfortunately this lead to sleepless nights....

Brilliant City Centre Hotel

Posted 09-Jul-2015
Room itself was lovely. Really clean. Close to the southern shopping area of the city. Easily acessible to and from Grafton Street. No bar on site however staff more than willing to order drinks from sister hotel close by. Can also be quite loud throughout the night and there are several clubs directly across the road which are popular with local Dubliners. Only ate breakfast at the hotel once as we found it was quite over priced for what you got compared to other breakfast venues close by. Overall a good hotel and would stay here again!

Nice hotel but noisy outside

We had 3 nights at the Harrington in a room at the front. The staff were very helpful and the room clean and well appointed. The only downside with being at the front was the noise from the trams and the nightclubs opposite.

Noisy, but nice central location.

Good value just south of the core, but ask for a room facing east and not Harcourt St. or you may not get any sleep. Clubs and bars rock until 4 am every night and drunks fill the street. Room was small but bathroom was large and very nicely equipped. Free parking is a big bonus.

Not for peace and relaxation!

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: The staff and convenience to nearby food options.
Cons: The lighting situation - you shouldn't have to unplug all the lights in order to have the ceiling fan running.
Location: Bars, clubs and food!!
I first have to say that we had no issues with the staff - they were very friendly and accommodating. However, the parking is a train wreck, the rooms are tiny and cramped and there are clubs a few doors down on both sides of the street that are loud all night long. This probably wouldn't have been such an issue if it hadn't been warm during our stay, but we had to have the window open for air AND there is one central light/fan/etc switch that meant that in order to have the ceiling fan on at least the hallway light (in the ceiling) would have to be on also. It was very hard to sleep with the heat and noise and my boyfriend ended up sleeping in the bathtub with the door closed. On the other hand, if you're there to party then this is your scene!

nice affordable hotel

I love the location and free parking. The accommodations were OK - three star level - but was expected given the price. The staff helped us w/ Ireland / US power outlet adapter.

The hotel was very clean, the man on reception when we arrived was very helpful, with information for the surrounding area & for the facilitties at the hotel. The room we were in was at the front & allthough the clubs on the street were busy, we heard very little noise & slept well.Good location,10 min walk to city center. would stay there again, & recommend.

Gorgeous but noisy!

Posted 15-Jun-2015
The hotel is very central, clean & comfortable but unfortunately located near to 2 popular clubs and has no double glazing so very noisy. We asked to move to a room at the back of the hotel & reception staff accommodated us gladly but the noise was still unbearable at night. Otherwise fantastic!
