Lovely stay at the Four Seasons

Posted 21-Oct-2014
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons. While it is located out of the centre, it is walkable (30 minutes), cabs are in good supply or it's an easy 5 - 10 minute bus ride. The room was immaculate, as was the service. Our children loved the pool and the extra special treatment on checking in.

Even Four Seasons can be extremely disappointing

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: A lot first time I went there..nothing the 2nd and last time
Cons: As simple as put the guests not attending the event on the other side of the building
Usual experience albeit not in this kind of hotel...so far A wedding or whatever loud event on the premises, impossible to find a slot in the hotel parking, no warning when checking in, loud music starting at 10pm, forced to move to another room by 2 am, no apology whatsoever when leaving the hotel the following morning...but the full hotel charge, indeed

Excellent location - right next to RDS Showground

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: Overall feel
Cons: Drink prices a little excessive e.g. Laphroaig 12 euro a glass compared to 4 euro elsewhere
Location: Rugby grounds, restaurants and bars
Great location. excellent room and service . However, drinks a little expensive.

Family trip to Dublin

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: It catered for family requirements and especially welcoming for our pet.
Cons: Wouldn't need to change anything from our point of view.
Location: Location was very quiet but close enough for access to the city.
The room was great and really comfortable for all 5 of us and pet dog. Made to feel very welcome and all staff were very attentive.

I booked a room for 3 (myself, my husband, and our 13 year old) and was disappointed to arrive to a room with only one queen size bed and a fold up cot for a small child on the floor. Throughout our week in Ireland we stayed at 5 hotels and every other hotel was able to provide a real bed for our teenager. The staff were pleasant and the neighborhood was nice, but the nearest double decker Dublin bus tour stop was a stolid 30-40 minutes walk away from the hotel (not the 15-20 minute walk the concierge said). Room service was very expensive for the quality. If you must eat there eat downstairs where the food seems slightly better.

Hotel location not central

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Our room wasn't ready on arrival, there were. 3 adults in a Suite they only catered for 2, they converted a sofa into a bed we all had 1 bad night sleep and offered nothing as compensation - the decor in the rooms needs updating and rate negotiated by expedia didn't include breakfast - somewhat dissapointing

Warm and friendly. Clean spacious rooms. Great service. All you need from a city centre hotel. Fantastic. Highly recommend ******
