Nice hotel for quite vacation out of town.

Posted 13-Sep-2014
After ten day in Dublin city center, it was a great to take 2 days out of town to walk in the country side. The nearest mall is 10 min walk. The restaurant has great Irish meals.

Full disclosure needed

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: Close proximity to Dublin bus line. Free parking. Wireless and comfortable beds.
Cons: Full disclosure that hotel public areas are undergoing renovation.
Location: Near very large shopping mall and easy access to Dublin bus line.
Hotel is undergoing renovation. Main restaurant was closed so dining was done in adjacent breakfast buffet area. We were looking forward to a nice, relaxing dinner but that didn't pan out. Informal facility and smallish round tables more suited to grab and go. Service: substandard. Lighting didn't work properly in room; reported and not repaired after 2 nights. Liquid shower soap and dispenser a great idea but staff should check soap level. We washed with liquid hand soap that was available as none was in the shower. Sink faucet leaked. Front desk clerk Carl at check in was very helpful; the standout of our experience. We did speak with management before leaving and they did remove dinner charge; this was appreciated. But if you are expecting a four star experience, at this moment, move on.

One night breakaway

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Went with my wife for a quiet night away from our kids and found we had booked into a hotel that was packed with kids . !!! Very child orientated - kids club etc , hotel did put us in a quiet area but we couldn't use the pool etc due to the amount of children , maybe our mistake for booking a bank holiday weekend

Good for a work trip to Dublin

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Pool
Location: Good location when you have a car for work purposes or if you're traveling around Ireland.
Stayed here when traveling for business and it was very good value for money. Staff friendly enough and I had a good stay.

Nice hotel, lovely staff

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
Cons: The only issue was the road noise as the hotel is on a main road, however there is not much you can do about that and we soon got used to it.
Location: It was a little bit further from Dublin City centre than we thought, however the bus stop was only a short walk away. Really enjoyed sightseeing,
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool.

Nice hotel however,

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Me and a few friends stayed on a Friday/Saturday and were literally stalked by the bouncer/security all night -despite doing nothing wrong other than being young men I assume- who seemed intent on provoking us. I even heard him joke to his co worker about how we'd be sleeping on the streets, when the wolloper didn't realise I was standing right behind him. Really nice hotel/bar/restaurant and staff but more subtle security is needed.

Good time at clarion

Posted 21-Jul-2014
The hotel is very clean and we'll maintained. I found the staff to be friendly . I did not have breakfast but was told by other guests it was very good There was also a pool for the guests to use. As my daughter was swimming in a 5 day gala at the NAC I did not want to pass the toll on the M50 4-5 times a day. I emailed the hotel a few days before the trip to find out if there was a way to avoid the Toll by using another route. The only information I got Back was the web address of eflo on how to pay a Toll. There was a large num of swimmers from different clubs staying at the hotel all heading to the NAC and back each day. This gala happens every year So the hotel should try and provide helpful information to the swimmers For available routes to the NAC. Also there is a 4 euro charge to park your car for more than 3 hours in the hotel car park. This is clearly a money making exercise and really annoyed me and other guests having to pay it.

Fantastic Hotel Close to Dublin

Posted 17-Jul-2014
The Clarion Liffey Valley was the perfect hotel for us because we had a rental car for getting around. If you won't have a car you may want to look at options right in Dublin instead. The gym and pool area here is outstanding if you're like us and use those facilities while traveling. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Since it is a big hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, with ample parking for tour busses, it can get rather loud depending on the group that comes in. We were on the main floor close to reception and definitely needed earplugs for two of the nights. I recommend asking for a room in the back of the hotel instead.
