We arrived late on a Friday evening for a 2 night stay in November 2014. I had not stayed there before and the hotel was much more spacious and attractive than I was expecting with a spacious lobby area and attentive service from friendly receptionists. The hotel was humming with activity but we were able to get parking in the spacious carpark without difficulty. We assumed as the hotel was full that we would hear lots of late night revellers and early risers but had an undisturbed sleep in what was obviously a very soundproof and comfortable room. the room was a bit too cool but there was no delay in sending a staff member to sort out the temperature and unusually it was not too hot in the middle of the night as hotel rooms frequently are. Did not eat in the hotel - had drinks only in the bar so cannot comment on the food.
Had a fabulous stay at the Conrad with my mum and 4 year old son. Upon arrival our room wasn't ready do we had complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. The very helpful concierge helped organise tickets for singalong frozen- best seats in the house, it was fab. Room initially smelt strange so we asked to move which was no problem and done quickly. We had a great time at the Contad, milk and cookies were left for my son while we had chocolate coated strawberries that evening. Everything for my son was complimentary
The Carlton Hotel is freshly painted with comfortable, quiet rooms even though it is so near the Dublin Airport. The décor is elegant and warm. And, as always, the Irish people are warm and hospitable. I was happy to end my 2 month European vacation at The Carlton where the staff is warm and friendly and the beds are exceptionally comfortable.
Great location for 3Arena and for easy access to town centre via tram service which starts right outside the hotel. Otherwise hotel is a bit isolated but caters for most of your needs anyway. Very efficient service in all aspects, high quality rooms, separate bath and shower, large bathrooms, very modern and overall very good hotel to stay out for both business and pleasure.
The hotel was very close to public transport to enable us to visit Dublin without having to drive. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wifi was available throughout the hotel making it easier for us to plan our outings.
