Lovely rooms with kitchenette
Nice balcony for the bay view rooms
Quick 5 minute walk to downtown Dubai but free from the hustle and bustle.
View not that great - you can see the bay but lot of construction on the other side. But this is the case with most of new Dubai.
The hotel is very new and most taxi drivers do not know where it exactly is. However, one you know your way around you know how to direct them.
They have all the regular appliances like hot water kettle, hair dryer and iron BUT no properly positioned power points. The only power point I could locate was by the night stand. That was a little weird to me.
They had a washing machine but no sample detergent. They should not be expecting guests staying for 3 days to carry detergent. Should consider providing at least one small sachet of detergent per visit for guests staying less than 7 days.
The staff was professional and accommodating - we loved the welcome drink of green apple juice at the check-in, and we were upgraded to a Burj view room. Definitely a plus! Food was excellent in the Courtyard restaurant. Pool and fitness center were quite well-appointed, too.
We stayed for a week in Dusit Thani Dubai and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel is just a block away from Dubai mall, Burj Khaliffa and the metro. They provide scheduled drop off and pick up to and from Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and other sites. We were made very welcome from the time we were picked up from the airport to the executive suite upgrade we were given until we were dropped off after a week. The staff were very helpful especially the concierges - Rasheed and Randie (?), Jay-C and Mawii from The California, James - the night manager, the hotel driver (apologies as I forgot his name) and the various bellhops who always have ready smiles. The little touches such as leaving additional L'Occittane lemongrass shower gel when they noticed how much we liked using it.
We so enjoyed our recent stay at the Ramada Downtown. Great, pleasant staff and a fabulous room with balcony overlooking the fountains and top of the Burj Khalifa. Ideal location near the Dubai Mall... can walk to so many interesting spots. Concierge was very helpful setting us up with tours. Seems like an excellent value compared to other hotels available in the area. We'd definitely stay there again! P.S. On site restaurant is average... but, there are many other restaurants within easy walking distance + highly recommend a day tour to Abu Dhabi if time permits.
